A purely fabulous rendition of this truly legendary number ! Roxy and Bryan are legends of their era, and I am so happy to have experienced them live in their hay day ! 👍❤️👍
Roxy made this cover a complete new song ! They are so classy ! and at the time (before punk) a lot of bands sucked but Roxy was there to cheer up ! I will always keep them a special place in my heart.
I'd love to get a T-shirt with this on now. Because it's so relevant today. A hard rain's gonna fall ! And there ain't no doubt. Kind of a prophetic song.
I saw Bryan Ferry at Santa Monica Civic in late 70's His vocals were incredible....Two rows in front (I was third row) David Bowie and Brian Eno...That music is over baby.
What a brilliant false ending at 3.30. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice feedback. Paradoxical, in that he never plays for more than a few moments at a time, yet I could listen to Chris Spedding for hours....
I was working at Ch7 in Sydney,as was my brother. Meeting Bryan and the band was crazy. No mobile phones so Bryan autographed the back of my Birth Certificate
@@mariaadams5987 Because Mr. Ferry revels in being simultaneously elegant and humorous. No one in the world could take such an earnest protest song and turn it into a raveup.

This is the best version of A Hard Rain.
The loveliest man on the planet 🌟👍🌹 they don't make them like that anymore 💗

One of the greatest Bob Dylan covers there has ever been!
The greatest I would say, and the bar is set high if you consider the Byrds covers!
great version of the best Dylan lyrics ever ... hard rains gonna fall
The ease, the dynamics, the style. It all fits like a leather jacket.
I loved how he introduced the band. Classy, and very unusual to see on tape.
And it's a hard...
Golly gosh Bryan, you slay me. Every time. Sublime and Dylanesque was superb.
The band are fabulous too. Always chooses the best.
Masterly version of a great song: everything extraneous shaken off and everything essential intensified. It is a mighty thing

Only Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music - the rest of the line-up are the band that supported Ferry solo.
@@amazingtalkinghorse Don’t forget Paul Thompson on drums.
@@Amanda-si1qz good point
@@amazingtalkinghorse And the great Paul Thompson.
Siouxsie and the Banshees decided to form at a Roxy concert. Sid Vicious was a Huge Bryan Ferry fan. He was my musical hero in the 70s...Still is.
What a unbelievable cast of musicians

Great respect for B. F. And band. The best over all these years. I love it and hope for the next 20 years too!!!!!!
I'd love to get a T-shirt with this on now. Because it's so relevant today. A hard rain's gonna fall ! And there ain't no doubt. Kind of a prophetic song.
Again. Eat your heart out, Robert Zimmermann. I was just a little too young to fully appreciate this. Born 1957. Wonderful.
I think Bob must love this.
my dad brought me up on this. this guy's a true O.G.

Too cool, great version and wot a band
RIP John Wetton.
My hero for almost 50 years🤠❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶
john wetton the guv of the bass thunder sound he gets and the great paul thompson on drums, real bass and drum sound
The way he introduced the band here, i love it
What a band!!
A talent pool of bottomless depth!
Great cover of a great Dylan song❤
King of cool..................grrrrrr..............then & now
wow...Wetton & Collins
Few cover versions become the standard, but this…this is just astonishing. Fair play to Dylan writing this at 22, 60 years ago 🤔
ALL STAR BAND! Well, Manzanera, Spedding, John Wetton (Asia) and Mel Collins are in it.
And the Great Paul Thompson!
@@Oscar_Charlie_Delta And the hugely talented Ann O'Dell

Can’t get enough after all these years since their underground days
This must be the best cover version ever of a classic.

John Wetton on bass…loved and missed. Mel Collins ❤ What a legendary line up of musicians!
❤❤❤👍👍👍 Er hat mein Leben begleitet.
just fabulous!
Во моментов негде лее силен дожд, а јас ја слушам оваа прекрасна изведба во живо од мојата младост...
Comical and cool at the same time. What a great find! Thanks for posting this!
Why comical?

Don't no chance.
As they say.
Non plus non ultra.
Those were the days.
Forever.
still rocks
This track will hit ha ha ha hard in a million years time 👌
Super band, and great Dylan's cover
Roxy plus Spedding and Odell!!!
" The sound of a Clown who cried in the alley" gets me every time
It’s good to see Bryan loosen his tie 😀 from time to time 😀
I wanna go home...
Someone invent a time machine. Please.
Just add Andy McKay and Brian Eno for the best band evah!
That is song is my favorite song me and my dad
and still on the top...
He is a proper geeza
And thrue what he singing 2024❤
Manzanera and whetton Thomson whats not to like .Obscure session musicians from LA ?
he woman on keyboard is the lvely and tsalented Carolwe Thatcher, daughter of the great PM
torrential sheets of rain ! after Jimi, best Dylan interpretation.
he was as cool as fook
Too right mate, too right
Better than the original
Brilliant
日本で録画しましたね。
Fuckin' TIGHT!!..
Ferry was a badass and Spedding played wrong notes, as punk as ever.
+margus kiis That's an Eventide 'bum note generator' LOL
@calmthoughts its a coverversion from bob dylan - just take a look there :-)
@BrokenneckYgor Keep takin' the 'tabs'.
♥ YOU BRYAN : )
Wonder where that was, as I have seen him "live" like this in the UK that year. ??
What guitar is Manzanera playing?
Not sure, but it looks like a double cut away Gibson Les Paul?
neben dem Original von Bob Dylan ist dies eins der richtig guten Cover eines tollen songs!
Paul Thompson is playing John Bonham's actual Ludwig drum kit that was used in Led Zeppelin 1969-1970.
How fucking cool is that? And the Mighty Paul Thompson has certainly earned the right to play Bonzo's kit.
The manager ran off, put his leather pants on but forgot his leather jacket... he didn’t care, he had to perform, singing is his true passion.
Is this great or what?
Damned ... yesssssss!
Non plus ultra.
❤🔥
Eat your heart out, Robert Zimmerland.

Always
hard rain is gonna fall bryan ferry
John Wetton had the best P bass tone in '70's rock.
He always introduces the band.cool dude I think. He owns this song.
ジェリーホールをミックジャガーから奪われましたね😃
Glad to see he doesn’t wear that moustache any more!
I’m speechless.
Nice Package on Bryan!
@burlearth heeeheee
I wonder what Bob Dylan would think of this version of his song?
lol there is a version of him watching Ferry perform it on here. he doesn't look happy.
I think Ferry's mannerism is good for this song ... :-) it takes away that Dylan pathos and vinegarness ...
I saw Roxy Music twice in concert.....fabulous shows...... I also love Bryan's version of These Foolish Things
No one really likes Dylan. He is and was never important. Ferry on the contrary...
NHK Hall in Tokyo
This isn't @NHK Hall, filmed in Sydney, Australia
Yes, it was broadcast as "Bryan Ferry in Australia" in 1977 and filmed during the "In Your Mind Tour". You can see the Channel 7 cameras.

Ещё молодой был только на разгоне
I saw him do this in Glasgow around 76 and it was 10 times better than this.
Sorry to say & with due respect, this is Bryan Ferry at his worst - not the exciting Roxy Music of recent past - why the change? ... pretty sad.
Mr Zimmermann couldn't sing. Or play any instrument. A good poet...
Dear Brian. Non plus ultra.
Come on! Zimmerman was not even a good poet hahaha

Didn't understand that ...but sounded g reat...poetic imagery .
Dylan was never important. Ferry made this song important.
Aren't they consistently out of tune on the second "hard"? 🤔By the way, Ferry and Roxy rocks. Always thought so.
I saw him do this in Glasgow around 76 and it was 10 times better than this. PEE WEE Herman must have taken his queue from this
what the fuck.
Disgraceful putrid version. Ferry butchered the song.
And who is is the rain.
Shame on you.
Must've been tough for poor old Brian knowing that not only was his bass player one of the best around , he was also a far better singer.
Cruel.....but true.!
Is that Brian or Bryan?
