This song haunted me for years after I heard it from a friend's vinyl album when I was 15 yrs old. That was 45 years ago.......I found it here and I teared up....Hail Bryan
The greatest rhythm section EVER...The late great John Wetton and the great Paul Thompson. They complement each other PERFECTLY. All one has to do is listen to Viva Roxy Music and the 1974 Newcastle show and that solidifies it. Not to mention their pairings on "Another Time, Another Place", "Let's Stick Together", Manzanera's "Diamond Head" and "K-Scope", and some of the cuts on Eno's "Here Come The Warm Jets"...Absolutely fantastic!!!
Probably Ferry's most underrated and at least IMO, greatest tracks. It rocks and the lyrics are incredible. I only wish he would play this live more often. In Your Mind is also his most underrated solo album. Like Boys and Girls, this would have been one of the greatest Roxy Music albums.
Great sync job! One of my all time favourite Ferry compositions. Love the instrumental passage just as much as the vocal & it must be said... Not just the guitar solo... THE STRING SECTION!!!! THE STRINGS GIVE IT WELLY!!!!!
a saw Roxy Music 4 times around 35 years ago he played in Baltimore and I met him at the Hyatt Regency and actually bought him and some of the managers Heineken he came over to me thank me for the drink got a picture of him with me and I actually asked him about love me madly again and he said he used to play it he really always like that song I had an artist paint the cover that out on a shirt and I still have it I think it's incredible how the music world kind of missed his talents he was a musical genius an voice was given to him from God
Saw the original concert video. What a trainwreck. The band was so flat. Must of been a great party backstage though. Probably lots of Quaaludes going around. Especially in 1977.
When I was 8 years of age I started following the Beatles who at the time ( 1964 ) were without question the best, than Led Zeppelin, dare I say it, the best. In 1975 I had the shear pleasure of seeing Roxy Music in San Francisco and soon realized that there will be no more groups of this level of talent certainly in my lifetime and have nothing but pity for all the young people exposed to what they pass off as music today!
In your mind. My 1st album I bought age 11. Loved it then & still do. Ferry the ultimate showman. Earnt his place in history of music & deserving of all the accolades sent his way.
Thé most outstanding BF solo track for me.. all the traverses, all the upcoming melancholia en haunting wandering.. if played on my funeral I can die in peace.. (but only THIS long version, and mot the shortened version of the 2007 era..
a lot of people don't know about this song one of my favorites the lyrics and the melody just incredible and then you hear the strings just Dragon the song along and pulling a soul right with it
I'm so glad you did such a great job editing this all together. A wonderful song from Ferry's 'glamorous melancholy' genre. Poetic lyrics coupled with his divine melodies that contrast with harsh rock and roll guitars and one of his tortured artist style performances. Thank you, I will treasure this.
Such a great tune from the "In Your Mind" LP. I bought it new in 1977 and played it over and over, this being the best track, I feel. I was a huge Roxy Music fan throughout the '70s and early '80s.
Keep coming back to this = absolutely entranced by your vision and you have captured Ferry at his best - cannot miss a visit to youtube without seeing this perfect mix thank you Kanecaptain xxx
🔥🎸🥀❤️ @bryanferry ❤ Wow wow wow !!☄️🔥☄️ This kind of performance is history , we will never see and experience again. So so incredible good ! Tears in my eyes... And should we meet again Uncertain, out of reach On the other side of time Barriers broken Thoughts entwine Never words spoken Love me madly again And who can draw the line A strand from me to you A world apart, a smile Loving is easy Hard to end Love letters tearing Love me madly again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great song and really good job making the video. Most of these videos splicing studio tracks with live footage don't really work but this is spot on. Well done!
Thanks for adding, this is my all time favourite BF song too. The vinyl album is still somewhere up in my attic. Most of the In Your Mind album is great too, such a pity it never really got much credit....
Are you still cutting it on the street Do you make savage love when you meet In the zigzag shadows that promises much Don't talk about it, show me Talkin' about it's, easy Don't talk about it, love me up Is that lightning exciting ya quite as much Would I could feel it, would I could touch Don't talk about it, it's not the same Love me madly, once again Don't make it easy for me Some like it tough you see Loving is easy for me A whole lotta love has passed this way Don't talk about it, show me Talkin' about it's, easy Don't talk about it, love me up Is it as passionate as it seemed? Was it for real or some kind of dream? Don't talk about it, it's not the same Love me madly, once again And should we meet again Uncertain, out of reach On the… other side of time
This is a just a superb MASTERPIECE job of syncing the concert footage with the audio from the IN YOUR MIND album. This is such an underrated song from a brilliant artist. His voice, the horns, strings and arrangement backing Bryan is a rare combination of talent. Hope that some of today's younger musicians hear the talent from this era--40 years ago, --before the 64 track computer assisted recording. Beautiful work! --Alan
Top-Notch Sync Job, lovingly spliced alongside the studio version, a song which has been from favorite Ferry track from the time the album came out in '77 to this very present day - and then tomorrows yet to come. Just an incredible band arrangement and Spedding's tasteful leads spread out and applied for maximum emotion(a key to any timeless Ferry song). And..those string staccato swells? Perfect, as is this song.
well done !! wish I was there... it's also a very, very good record (just throw the cover away tee-eeh !) : maybe his all-time best group, everything is perfect...
This song haunted me for years after I heard it from a friend's vinyl album when I was 15 yrs old. That was 45 years ago.......I found it here and I teared up....Hail Bryan

I really love Bryan Ferry, he is a rockstar and true romantic poetry.

Chris Spedding's guitar kills me, everythings perfect, Bryan is marvelous as always, female backing vocal is so on point! Perfection
I always loved Ferry for his unusual style and his material and the way he kind of came off as then gentleman of Rock.

I love how the song changes direction at 2:53
The second half of this song is so great and majestic -- I always want it to last a minute or two longer.
Saw the original concert video. What a trainwreck. The band was so flat. Must of been a great party backstage though. Probably lots of Quaaludes going around. Especially in 1977.
Nicely done!
Best Brian Ferry ever is this album. (In your Mind). If I had to give up all my Roxy albums and Bryan Ferry albums except one. I would keep this one.
Are you THE Chris Spedding. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!!! And agreed!!
When I was 8 years of age I started following the Beatles who at the time ( 1964 ) were without question the best, than Led Zeppelin, dare I say it, the best. The fantastic string arranger Ann O'Dell! Greatest string arrangement in rock'n'roll history.

Just brilliant! Thanks. Watching Ferry listening to the instrumental you can see he's completely subsumed in the music.

Don't talk about it, show me
Talkin' about it's, easy
Don't talk about it, love me up
