Yes - tons of good trail - New Light is closed during the week right now but is normally my first recommendation. San Lee is about 45 mins west of raleigh but absolutely the best overall experience
Sad this is 45 minutes from my house in Raleigh. But I did hear Crabtree is fixing their jump line. Converting the gaps to tables so the line can stay open like the trails.
Really? That would be cool. I've never seen anyone use the gaps and their jump lines have been getting worn. The flow trail is cool but it would be nice if it was a bit longer, or have a couple different ones. It seems Harris Lake could use some updating. I know there's a skills section, but the rest is pretty unchanged.
The step up and hip on black are really not that bad. You can session the step up by dropping in right from the climb trail into the bottom berm, a few hard pedal strokes and a pop and you will land on the top of the step up hump. The hip you just need to figure out where to launch from since you cannot see the lander until you are a couple feet in the air. That first table at the top of black is the hardest, you practically need to sprint from the drop in to the step down to clear that table. Goliath on Mega-Low-Donn is actually very easy, you just need the speed, but it takes several runs to get used to the speeds at the bottom of the valley without feeling the need to touch the brakes. Blue-blue Mega-Low-Donn is the reason we frequently drive down there from WF. Nice video, I've been curious how San Lee Gravity compares to Berm Park.
@@DoubleAAdventures452 I saw that when we were there last week. 😟. You can still get there by riding in on the tech line and then dropping in over the hip jump.
Start slow and on the green trails - if you haven’t ridden a jump trail before start with the jumpline at crabtree before you go here - love that you’re getting into riding more and more - keep it up 💪💪💪
Found this place thanks yo this video. Thank you so much !! Its my favorite place to go ride on my days off now. Keep up the good work love all your videos 👍🏼.. gopro effect is crazy at this park lol the expert trail looked like something I would normally hit and then when i got there and actually saw the size of those last jumps from the climb up i changed my mind immediately 🤣🤣
Man. I rode the single track first, the first time in a loooong time a while ago. Last time I rode it was before the highway was finished, probably in 09 I guess. I had heard about the redesign of the trails and the new gravity park. I was smoked after the XC trails. Until I get back in shape better, I'll just go straight to the gravity park. I wasn't sure about going across the water directly to the upper parking area.
Yea - there are a few bandit trails that you will like but San lee is still the best option. Crabtree has some bmx style stuff in one small area of the trail system. If you have a choice of where to live, I’d stay west of the 540 belt line near the airport or south west (briar creek, Cary, apex etc) which will provide great access to San lee and a bunch of other stuff …
@@tylerh785 for techy Singletrack - new light is the best in the area but that’s all the way on the other side of town outside wake forest. San Lee has some solid techy Singletrack as well
Yep… long back story … they built a ton of stuff without official permission… county shut them down… brought in an official trail building company and built this. It’s legit.

Wow, what an awesome place. Glad that more and more places like this are popping up. It's a good time to be a mountain biker for sure!
Sage… you would like the 9 miles of SINGLETRACK also at this location … rock tech galore - Jeff Lanosky has done a few videos
I might be making a trip to Raleigh in the near future. Was wondering if there was any good riding. Thanks for sharing.

hmmm... Maybe drive faster? 🤣🤣🤣 The Crabtree gap filling is an exciting development.
@@jaredrude431 Haha.
Worth the drive as much as you can though because of the awesome single track plus jump line
@@FoCoFlowShow Yeah, when I ride locally I ride San Lee most of the time. Gonna try Beaver Dam this weekend.

Great intel - I def want to get back out there with someone to tow me in
They fenced it off on the climb so can’t do that anymore :/

That’s great! That’s the whole reason I started the channel - thank you for watching 🤘. And yes… those jumps are way bigger in person - lol
Great video thanx ill have to chk this place out
It’s a blast !
You know those are some big jump if the FoCo won’t hit them! Good job showing the full set of trails without risking injury for the sake of the video.
Haha… I’m a solidly intermediate size jumper… the advanced stuff still intimidates me
The singletrack at San Lee is worth the trip, as well, and it ends at the top of the gravity park. Makes for an excellent day!
100% agree.... the single track has some of the most interesting features in the area - definitely worth it.

Have you ever road the nc state trails? Lake Raleigh?
I haven’t - how are they?
So I just bought my first bike today, along with my sons, would it be worth going here soon or should we wait a while?

Who maintains stuff like this?
The county and local trail builder
The question is, how do you get with your local track builders? So you can help maintain trails
