    Yes, to JT. It doesn't get enough attention. Living in Richmond, I want to get out to Charlottesville. I would love to get some recommendations for best trail for a first time in the area. Would Heyward trails be that one now? I've not worked up my technical skills much since I've been almost exclusively in the Richmond area since my time in Blacksburg riding Pandapas nearly 20 years ago now.

    • @FoCoFlowShow
      @FoCoFlowShow 11 дней назад

      @@KevinTomayko yea man - JT was super fun and I love Poco and JRPS in general. For Cville, the absolute best place to start if you can only ride one place, you have to start with Blue Ridge School in St George, VA (30mins outside Cville). It features the biggest climbs and longest descents and tons of chunk. Heyward is definitely #2 in my book and it’s literally 5 minutes off I64 so much closer and more accessible. Pro Tip: if you want a bigger day on the bike, you can ride all of Heyward (about 8-10 miles) and then pedal on the road for about 5 mins over to Ohill and ride another 8-10 miles of awesome Singletrack

    • @FoCoFlowShow
      @FoCoFlowShow 13 дней назад

      Thanks! I haven't done one from initial install but that's a good idea. I'll do one the next time a install a brand new dropper. The good news if if you've done one, you've done 99% of all dropper installs...they are largely identical. The trick is to make sure the cable HOUSING is secure at the bottom of the dropper where the cable and the the cable end or "knob" is hooked into the small lever arm at the bottom of the dropper. From there, you carefully feed the dropper down into the seat post while lightly pulling the dropper cable through the other end that dropper level on the handle bar. Will try and get a video done .

    Ive always been a fan of the OneUp V2 dropper. Bought two Gen 2 Fox Transfers when they went on sale before they released the Gen 3 and although they were very nice, I was noooot happy with having to send them in brand nee in the box to have them serviced for not going all the way up. Fox didnt seem surprised at all and said it was completely normal that this happens. I bought them directly from Fox so if this is so common, why not fix them before you send them out? It doesnt make sense logistically apparently. Anyway both are good to go now but the 200mm slowly creeps up over time for some reason, which although not a huge deal, is still very annoying. Now they have released the Gen 3 and switched to an adjustable air cartridge (like the previous generation OneUp V2). OneUp also released their V3 dropper and switched from adjustable air cartridge to a sealed cartridge system (like the previous generation Fox Transfer). So basically they swamped places 😂 I run a 210mm dropper but wanted to see if I could size up to a 240mm since they have made the body more compact for 34.9 diameter Gen 3 Transfers. I was hoping to keep the same max ride height but get more drop than my 210mm OneUp V2. That didnt work out to well, it was waaaay to high. Stuck out of the seat tube quite a bit more aaaaaaand was 30mm taller on top of that. So I returned that and went with a OneUp V3 210mm and havent looked back. I do ofter wonder if I should’ve tried the Gen 3 Transfer in 210mm first but I got cold feet and ran back to the comfort of OneUp. I guess if it aint broke, dont fix it.
