Nice! this is my "home trail" Been meaning to check it out once I noticed the drops off the big outcrop by the road. Those rock outcrops is where the town gets its name. Battle Park has been known for a long time as a sketchy place, hopefully the investment will be maintained and continue to grow. There has been a lot of redevelopment in RM. Glad to see its a pretty cool trail. Something more out this way has been sorely needed besides paved greenway. Otherwise, the only trails are in the triangle/Raleigh and Greenville. The Williamson Preserve is nice, it's long but doesn't use the terrain very well and is a little boring.
Dude that place looks awesome. Who knew slabs like that in Rocky Mount- guess named for a reason! Thanks for posting vid and getting the word out about this place. Looks like I’m taking a road trip soon.
@@FoCoFlowShow Id be coming from DC so would def want to work it into some other trails. But I feel like I could spend a few good hours sessioning those boulders. I love that kinda stuff. Seems like I see stuff like this less and less these days of machine groomed trails.
@@dadventuretv2538 yea, if you’re coming down from DC, there are tons of good trails you could explore in the Raleigh are too - if you like rock tech, definitely check out the Singletrack at San Lee park - fall line and gauntlet are proper rock tech
@@FoCoFlowShow San Lee is a little out of the way from Raleigh, even if it's an MTB "trip," at least if the triangle is the main destination. Governor's Creek in Cameron is cool if you are heading towards Sanford. Another in the Rocky Mount area is Medoc Mountain Park. Haven't been there yet, but the park maps indicate a bike trail. Yes, San Lee has tons of rocks. Almost a silly amount of rocks.
Look great!
Thanks - it's a fun area!
So cool to see our work being enjoyed! Thanks Fo!
My pleasure - THANK YOU for building such a rad trail system... crazy all that was out there all along.
It's much appreciated here! I ride this park once a week. Awesome it's 5 minutes from my house.
@@optommtb6607 nothing Better slabs you can pedal to from your house 🤘

It’s a very unique place to ride - I was pleasantly surprised
Got to ride BP last month. Played disc golf on that property many times in the winter and thought how awesome would that place be for mountain bikes.
Such a unique place - nothing like it anywhere near
So cool man! Awesome there are trails in that area now
I know! Rocky mount definitely breathing some life into the outdoor rec economy - so cool to see
Great vid! I'll have to check this out!
Definitely do - the singltrack itself is mostly flat XC style but the features and session areas are AWESOME

Probably not a destination trail by itself but it's worth the 45 min drive from Raleigh for sure... nothing else like it in the area.

Great use of natural features. Looks like you could have a completely different ride each time you go there.
Definitely- this isn’t a trail for getting miles in - it’s more about sessioning all day long
I enjoy biking, but that trail is not for me. I felt pain and bruises on my legs as I watched you ride.
Haha - yea the rocks are good to session but you don’t have to ride them - plenty of mellow Singletrack there as well
