Rise does not ''not satisfy players''. Monster hunter has always had a clear mainline and portable games distinction, the portable games are flashier, less realistic and experiment more with mechanics. Sunbreak has been heavily praised by most fans, the only ones who don't are usually people who started with world who do not understand this distinction.
As someone that started from the og MH in ps2, Rise is distinct and inferior. I wouldn't complain about the mechanic, but the stage and environment certainly they tried to be like world but worse.
@@WhoTao00 That is mostly because rise was made for the switch. The lighting is awful. I do think they should have used a more stylised style. I just don't think graphics are what makes MH good, they have never been outstanding (before world).
@@spacewhalemilk I didn't say the graphics, but I,m talking about the design, Rise area feel much more like a video game dungeon instead of a natural place like in World, not to mention the environment interaction is lacking too, but my biggest complain would be the monsters behavior
1. you can mount with every weapon, the glaive is just the easiest to. 2. the weakesses in your journal are to certain damage types(blunt cut and pierce) im glad you like the game, but there is alot of info that isnt outright told to you like there are indicators for monster attacks, you can recognise the windwup animation.
True! I've discovered that I could jump on monster's back from higher ground and keep on hitting it. I've also discovered that I could even target-lock it for better aiming. MHW is definitely a great game that rewards more time spent in it as you discover more even with the same weapon type and overall approach to combat. What are your thoughts about Rise btw? Worth playing and reviewing?
@@CtrlAlexDel rise looks like a very good gmod map graphically, and the mechanics are more like a beat em up then a monster hunter game. They have speed over good mechanics and I myself don't like it. But it is a different approach to the same formula, just not an approach i prefer. But that is just my personal opinion. For creators of any kind i always have the hint to do what you want and not what others want to keep yourself sane and not burned out. So you have to decide if you want to review it in my opinion.
@@CtrlAlexDel I would say so but be prepared for a very different experience, Rise is a lot faster paced and the weapons don't have the traditional feel and weight because of that and can be a big turn-off (definitely was for me) but once you grow accustomed to it and embrace the experimental nature of the game it's very fun. Like World most of the really good content is in the expansion so I would suggest finishing your time with World and Iceborne before playing through Rise but if you want to do a first impression video that could be cool. I know I came off a bit fiery in my comment I'm just very sick of the Rise hate and believe that Sunbreak is actually better than Iceborne but hope you enjoy whatever games speak to you.
Thanks a lot for such a detailed comment! I'll definitely check it out at some point because I like when different games (even in the same series) offer somewhat different experiences instead of Ubisofting the series throughout.
it's definitely more easily consumable for casual play but I wouldnt say it's superior to MHW. I'd say they're about equal but from different directions.
What game we playing next?

@@WhoTao00 The first half of your comment is explained by the porting of older maps, the second is still due to the switch's weak hardware.

In Japan Rise is bigger than World but buddy checked the steam charts and said ahhh rise bad game
Interesting 🤔 Rise worth reviewing?

Rise sucks so bad.
World is not gone, there is no reason to compare portable title to mainline title.
Rise is for a different playerbase for people who don't have much time or don't want to put so many hours in games
