Might want to upgrade the flywheel next. Stock flywheels are only rated for a little more than what the governor is set for. Higher rpms and you can have a catastrophic failure and it comes apart.

I just put a 23hp cam in my 16hp, governor delete, rev kit, offset flywheel key. Its going on a yard cart mower with a peerless 820 028a. Trans has the EC Carb solid axle locker and a Roms reworks speed up kit..I hope it scoots cause I'm 6'3 and 250 lbs😂.

Did you have to replace/upgrade valve springs so that you don’t float a valve running at high rpm’s?

Will the externals from a 16hp vtwin vanguard fit on a 18hp vtwin vanguard horizontal shaft ?

Great video. I really like the low profile air cleaner housing that you have on this engine. Can you please tell me how you made it or where you bought it? I've been looking all over for something like that for my Vanguard but can't find anything. Thank you.
