- Revisiting one of my favorite modules, the DCS Mirage 2000, on one of my go to servers in DCS, the Conquest DCS server. This was an Ace in a Day sortie and wanted to show off some of the new systems in the mirage and remind people that this module exists and it is really good.

This channel focuses on combat flight simulators like DCS World and IL-2 Great Battles. If you play either of these games or flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and enjoy aviation and dogfighting then this channel is for you. Even if you are coming from War Thunder and BF2042, you can learn to fly these combat flight simulators.
I play using TrackIR5 and do not use VR, this means that I am able to capture footage for tutorials, how-to-guides and other multiplayer tips and tricks video in 1440p.
Eagle Dynamics has made it easier than ever to learn DCS because the game is technically free. The game has the F-15, F-16, Su-27, Mig-29, Mig-21, Mig-19, Mig-15, F-86 Sabre, Jf-17, Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet and F-14 Tomcat. There are soon other modules coming such as the Mig-23 and F-4. Lastly, there are helicopters like the Mi-24 Hind and AH-64 Apache.

I will say as a long term Mirage pilot is that you always will out speed the AIM-7 with the 530D, when he launches at you @5:33 you can launch back at him, crank and keep lock and he will die to your missile first unless he defends fully. Only reason I wanted to point this out is because of how turning cold put you in a heavily defensive positions, nice BFM btw, love Mirage gameplay. Just a fun tip about the 530D :) love the video and keep up the great work!

I didn't know this server existed, and it's greatly gonna help me fly the Mirage. I've been on Flashpoint Levant, but it kinda feels like seal clubbing killing Su-17 and MiG-21 AIs
It's a nice breath of fresh air and they seem to be investing a lot of time into it.
im not sure why but that TTS the magic uses literally peaks my headphones so badly. Tested it with a friend, they are getting it too.
Oh sorry to hear that. In most of my videos, I have SRS, Discord and IL-2/DCS on three different audio tracks. The bot on this server is not on SRS but part of the in-game audio so I can't really control it independent of the game's volume. I will try in next videos from this server to bring the volume down for those parts. Thanks for making this note.

Man that 530 missile has some impressive speed/burn time, it's almost like a R27ER with shorter range but good ballistics, auto pilot and ECCM. This server and the Cold War server are just so great for allowing modules like these to finally shine.
Yeah it's no joke. And agreed, DCS covers a wide range of planes so it is good there are some curated servers
I happened to have managed to get a near 50nm kill with it at 47k doing Mach 1.7 or something. Against an AI of course, but it shows that this missile can still kill at ranges between 30nm and 40nm if you launch it in the right conditions.
Extremely happy to be made aware of other Fox-1 focused servers, BlueFlag 80s was the only one I was aware of prior to this - they don’t allow any Fox-3s though so I quite like the idea of having a proper challenge and different tactics to work with on this one.
Edit: I love how insane the 530s are now, that AI F-14 went cold after going defensive and it still caught up in a tail chase lol, such a satisfying missile to use.
Yeah the 530 is no joke, it's absurd how far it will go and how fast it is

I need to find more time to fly DCS let alone find more time for the Mirage. I do absolutely adore the M2000C so glad I purchased it despite the fact it's one of the least used modules I own.
It's very very fun to fly and it is a monster in a knife fight
@@Enigma89 I picked it up and learned to fight with it on this server. It can do some nasty things. I actually think I flew with you once. My squadron also loves to jump on this server with the M2000's and BAP all the runways lol. We don't always make it but when we do we have a pretty good laugh.
@@deekamikaze I actually haven't learned how to A2G with the Mirage yet but those anti-runway bombs look sweet.
Nice. Yeah Razbams Mirage 2000c is my favorite 4th gen fighter in DCS my F/A 18 and F-16 have been collecting dust. I really like the new modeling of the new RDI radar. Once you actually use it you pick it up pretty quick. Just now there is a reason to play around with the Doppler reject and azimuth switches to help you get a clearer picture. I also like how she tracks much better on targets that are above you. The sounds may be overdone, but I actually find they really add to the character of the plane.
Be honest though Enigma... your flying it in preparation for the F1...just like me ;)
It feels like you actually have to operate it which is nice because the other radars in the game just seem way too straight forward and clear in their picture. So it is a nice change. It will be interesting to compare the F1 and M2K when we have it to see what the before and after looks like.

There is also another patch that may have come out today/yesterday. I cannot find the patch notes but there is definitely upgrades to countermeasures and ecm.

The mirage is a monster in a knife fight. I am not the world's best dog fighter, the Mirage is just very forgiving in a straight up knife fight, so it's very easy to do well once you get close.
that 530 shot on the F14 was insane. damn thing ran his ass down.

Yeah I get told this all the time but have had very bad luck with it so far in my experience but I am sure it's a key binding issue and need to move it to make it more accessible.
Could you do a video on the radar and weapons use? I’m struggling to lock people and get weapons off the rails. Radar too.

The server is not down. ARe you sure you are using open beta? Maybe you are in the stable release...
@@Enigma89 Thank you for the response. I have a Steam version and I just updated (Open Beta) and it works! I am new to all this. Got my Track IR 5 and VKB NXT Evo 2 days ago. Learning F16. The next plane will be either MIG 21 or F5E for Enigma server (For PVP air to air).
What loadout does the F-16 even run on this server?
2x aim120b and heaters. I kinda wish there weren't any fox3 but it is what it is.

can you please do a cold start video because none on youtube work because they are out of date with the ins not working right or other issues. the dcs training doesnt even work
I don't cold start any planes anymore except the F-14. Their are just so many changes constantly happening to the planes and I can't be bothered to keep track of all of the changes to cold starts. I would recommend doing Chuck's guide for the cold start procedure, he does a much better job than me for cold starts. On this server, you can auto-start it and it does almost everything you need except the RWR, radar, radio and TAF.
@@Enigma89 yeah I’m trialing it today for the first time and it’s hard to find how things work because of the changes. Other modules don’t have that issue
@@danielpiazza5195 The Mirage has had SIGNIFCANT development in the last few months, so much that it required everything to be remapped. The module is in a REALLY good state but the instructions related to it have lagged. With all that said, the manual that Razbam released is VERY comprehensive and easy to understand. If you ping me on discord I can send it to you

The ' key tells you who is on the server. This can sometimes validate the taxi way is the safest place to take off from

Loved flying the 2000, but the French cockpit labels put me off buying
