Researched and found the e-Bike I like. Before buying however, I went to craigslist (as I am wont to do) in hopes of finding a good used one. Voila! MINT/PERFECT at half retail price included $500 of aftermarket extras. Retail $2.5K Used $1K Velowave Ranger in Black - Looks like it was ridden twice. Not one scratch. Heres a clue for everybody: NEVER BUY RETAIL!
You need to look closely at the E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown e-mtb. 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries, dual suspension, 2,3 mm thick disc brakes, etc., etc. All for $5,100.
If planning to get an ebike, know that fat tires have much more rolling resistance, greatly reducing range. Suspensions also reduce pedaling efficiency, thus reducing range. Along with reducing range, suspensions and fat tires require more power for acceleration.
Scott, not true. I have one of each. Coasting down hill my fat tire bike goes within 1 mph of my 2.4 inch street e bike. 20” fat tire, and 27.5 inch street tire bike. Mileage is hardly affected either. Acceleration is great too.
@@ferguson8143 I was not referring to the diameter, but a large diameter does reduce the angle of attack, resulting in a smoother ride. My Gazelle has 27.5 diameter 2.5 inch tires. No need of a suspension. If I wanted a smoother ride I'd get a suspension seatpost.
I'd use the Ariel Rider Kepler as a standard. You get a lot for $1,800. Or you could buy a lesser bike like a Trek for several thousands of dollars. Don't overlook 20" bikes, such as Lectric XP Premium and many more.
NO one, i repeat, no one will be pedaling any of those bikes. Mite as well just have foot-pegs. I know, "if it has pedals its considered a bike" nonsense. Great reviews guys.
Hello, thanks for your feedback. The charge would eventually run out, so pedaling is probably the only way to get you home form a long trip. But in general we understand your initial point of view.
Wrong...I pedal my ebike more than using all motor..I like being able to get some exercise and less stress on my motor..plus pedaling gives you longer range too..
We are screwed! Although I love all the improvements in technology and the many other improvements in Ebikes now-a-days (and when I was younger, I loved to go fast) Ebikes are now becoming more like scooters or motorcycles. I am seeing more kids (12 and up) riding fast with their siblings on the back rack, unattended, on an Ebike that their rich grandparents bought them. That is not including the people who deal with a throttle as a novelty. Don't get me wrong... I understand the fun of it all. But car drivers, other motorcycles, and pedal bike riders are getting tired of the hassles of putting up with us. We are SOON going to have to register, insure, or have a special license to operate an Ebike. All it is going to take to POSSIBLY avoid this is to do your part not to be a menace and obey all laws of the road. I would hate to lose the PRIVILEGES we have, now! I'm done!
Hello, thanks for your feedback. Today in most states the restrictions for ebikes with throttles is 20 mph (500-750 watts), if we talk about Europe - the restriction is 250 Watts and pedal only assist (no throttle)
Hello, thanks for your feedback. Of course there are motorcycles and even used cars in this price range but is it fair to suggest someone a motorcycle, when this person is looking for an electric bicycle?
Some places don't allow motorcycles, plus, that would need a license and insurance and gas and oil..... Definitely an advantage to an Ebike....so far, until the Government gets hungry.
6:00 to 6:16 yeah..sure...60 Mike range at even 22 mph...I'll believe that when I test ride that for myself...NO pedal assist either. Reality probably = 25 mile range on throttle only limited to 20 Mike's per hour
I have put about 500 miles on an all wheel drive ebike that I got new for $1727 usd a short time ago. I did a lot of research and made the decision based on that I live in the desert and ride mostly sand, and I use the bike for commuting around my community as a handyman and to make visits. I can use the bike as intended for about 5 days before charging, I pedal most of the time to assist... I can also get great mileage otherwise on the 48v 15a battery and 350watt motor rear hub and 250 watt front hub motor. I love the bike but cannot promote 5he company due to horrible customer and after sales service

Very few of these companies ever mention Fabulous ebikes. I got a dual 750kw motor with 60v. BEAST!!!
Joe Bond How much was your beast please??
It's the Ariel Kepler for me.. you're getting a lot of bike and performance for the price they're asking..

Good job

The smaller diameter of tire means it has to go twice as fast and twice as much rotation to equal the fat tire
And the more air you have in those big tires equals less rolling resistance

Only for convenience other then that no they are over priced for what you get when you can build one for fraction of the price and more power
@@MyKharli Buy good/used is easier/cheaper.

It is possible to run a dynamo to charge the battery without petrol

have you ever heard of the original and most popular selling fat ebike on the market called rad Rover 🤔

The eb50 looks like a homage to Bugatti
true lol. If you get one of these you should def get an nta helmet like xnito or bern hudson, cpsc helmets aren't really safe

$1800 for a push-bike that you admit to pedalling mostly?. That's an expensive battery.
