Regarding Kirby's speech, I personally feel he can understand and speak (language), he just doesn't have much to say, or want to say. In the japanese version of the anime, he actually shouts out the names of the attacks he is doing, so he isn't even completely speechless in that.
Of course Kirby can talk. The games have made that pretty obvious through various context clues. They just can't show it for fear of ruining Kirby's cute appeal.
I really like what you said here, Kirby has his flaws of immaturity and naivety but is still a genuinely kind soul at heart that just wants to help. He may be a reincarnated ball of endless possibilities but he’s still a good boy and I love him.

Thanks for clearing that up, and for not going keyboard warrior like most would do. Was honestly not in my right mind at the time I posted (just in case you don't remember, didn't post anything disrespectful- just clearly had some wrong info), only got 8 hours of sleep across 4 days, dogs ripping apart the house and so much noise really pissing me off and hurting my sanity as I had been dealing with their chaos for 5 days by this point. And on reflection there was much wrong with game theory's argument, I was just too sleep deprived, pissed, and had a massive headache to put on my "doubting goggles" as I normally do when listening to any theory and not just them. As said, re-watching with a clear head and actually getting rest there was no way I would have bought any of that and was obviously a "for fun" theory. One thing I've never seen discussed when it comes to Void leading to Kirby is the fact that Kirby absorbs his opponents abilities. Unlike Dark Matter, who use the body as a host to use their abilities, Kirby absorbs and hosts the opponent's abilities. Both gain control of the target's powers, but while Dark Matter gets absorbed when possessing a being, Kirby absorbs said being. This just proves more and more that Dark Matter and Kirby both have similar and different attributes and I love it.

The interviews I found implies that Mario's height is meant to be compared to people of our world, and before getting the models, I couldn't piece together how Mario's height would agree with the Hydrant and the people given I was expecting that I would be shorter than the New Donkers, plus, the gameplay screenshots have too much 3D for measurement as well, heck, I couldn't even piece together how the people's heights would agree with the Hydrant, but after getting the models, I think I may have figured things out, Mario is a 3 foot tall little man with Dwarfism. Comparing Mario to Larry puts Larry at 2'05" which is shorter than the Fire Hydrant. Matpat's fans often tried to argue against the Hydrant measurements I did a while back claiming that Hydrants can come in any size, but I heard from my dad that Fire Hydrants are actually standardized, and are not legally allowed to be over a certain height. However, this is just a theory, and you're welcome to give criticisms to it

In regards to Kirby's age, I remember hearing somewhere that Kirby is about 100 years old, but that his race regularly lives to be multiple thousands of years. So he's been around for a while chronologically, but relative to others of his race he's still basically a baby.

Like yeah, nightmare can’t leave but no one can sleep! King DeDeDe knew he couldn’t fight Nightmare which is why he broke the star rod. Only a true star warrior (Kirby) can defeat him. And it’s not like Nightmare was out for long, Kirby beat his ass in two seconds. I like how you brought up other arguments that Mat tended to ignore. I feel like it will be weird if Kirby couldn't hold the Star rod. It can hold the Master Sword and the Triple Star Rod which seem much heavier than the Star Rod. The reason why Dedede lauched Kirby was because it was the fastest way to go after Nightmare, considering that Kirby floats very slowly and well, no time to call up the Warp Star.
One of my far-out theories is that the friend and Dark Hearts of Star Allies represent how people interpret art, especially kirby characters. Void is a blank slate. Chaotic neutral, if you will. When postitive energy is added, it becomes a fighter for good and friendship. When it is under the influence of darkness, it is evil. Likewise, depending on how you add the influence of your point of view, Kirby is either the noble hero of Pop Star, or a genocidal maniac. When Dedede and Meta Knight are under the influence of the Dark Hearts, they act exactly like they do in Dreamland 1 and Revenge of Meta Knight. AKA: villian roles, as well as how most people unfamiliar with Kirby see them.
As they say, Kirby is young. As such, young people make mistakes. Kirby is still learning and growing; much like we all are. Making mistakes doesn’t make you evil.

As much as I do love this video and how it explains so much with such clear and concise examples and explanations, I also still love Matpat's earlier theory. A God of Destruction isn't necessarily evil. At all times, it was explained by Matpat that Kirby would be considered a chaotic neutral being. This had got me thinking on what Kirby could do at his full potiential... especially since he's related to the Void Soul and multiple other deities. I guess I'm just a sucker for good show, but I was waiting for Matpat to finish his part 2. This is better though. It has more polish and focused explanations behind it and people respect this kind of kind and reasonable approach. Love it!

As I responded previously, the events went like this: I originally was just planning to let the video go, not wanting to cause any drama or anything. Then people starting asking my opinions of it, some even telling me Kirby was a villain because of said video, using said examples. Eventually I made a poll on Twitter asking if I should make a video about Kirby and his personality, despite mentioning it several times in the series. 96% said yes. So here we are. That being said, I still didn't want to stir up any drama, or call anyone out, and made the video as an indirect response of sorts. Gotta say, I'm happy I took that approach =)

One thing I've never seen discussed when it comes to Void leading to Kirby is the fact that Kirby absorbs his opponents abilities.
Unlike Dark Matter, who use the body as a host to use their abilities, Kirby absorbs and hosts the opponent's abilities. Both gain control of the target's powers, but while Dark Matter gets absorbed when possessing a being, Kirby absorbs said being. This just proves more and more that Dark Matter and Kirby both have similar and different attributes and I love it.

Mario is Mental ah dear gosh that one was bad, but when I was a kid I used to believe it, now-a-days I don't, and I'm 18 now (gee, already, time goes by so fast, things change so quickly, I'm already an adult)
for me, personally, I hate Super Mario Odyssey's GIANT Problem a whole lot because it's kind of insulting to short people (claiming Mario is 5'01"), and I'm one of those, I know that's kind of a selfish reason, but it just hurts... I've done calculation to prove he is actually 3'00" and I've gone through so much calculation and so much trial and error and so much time and research and my answer has changed with what I would do, 2'01" was my first answer, 4'00" was my second (after finding two interviews) the rest are in no particular order, but I als remember calculating 3'08", 3'06", 3'02", 4'02", and even 4'01", though the two I trusted the most were 2'01" and 4'00" but I could never quite figure out how to make sense of the fire hydrant size, and the people size, until recently, I was able to extract the New Donkers from Gmod and converted the models using Noesis (no thanks to models resource) I measured that the New Donk citizen males are around 7.05 heads tall, I'm 5'05", I measured my own head at around 9 inches, take my height divided by head height and I got 7.22, which makes me 7.22 heads tall, which feels bizarre because that flat out told me that I'm taller than the New Donk males, they seem to be 5'03" according to my measurements, I also went outside and measured a fire hydrant, I got 2'06" for the hydrant height, and I've also observed that Mario shows clear complications of Dwarfism, his legs bowed, his back hunched slightly, abnormally large hands, feet, and head with short stubby limbs, Mario, from what I've observed, never actually stands at his full T-pose height (which is why it's a bad idea for people to take gameplay screenshots and blatantly assume that Larry is taller than/the same size as Mario, because Mario has these dwarfism complications that wont have him standing at full height, I compared their T-poses and Larry is shorter than Mario, and more than he looks too) Mario, Mario being 3'00" and having Dwarfism with the New Donkers being short people actually doesn't contradict a single thing about New Donk City and I absolutely love that ah thank crud I think I'm finally at peace with this topic after the 2 year long battle, never once have I truly backed down, I did say several times that I was gonna back down for Mario but not for Larry, but I never really did, Mario compares accurately to the humans of New Donk, and Mario also compares accurately to the Fire Hydrant and Traffic Cones and such. The interviews I found implies that Mario's height is meant to be compared to people of our world, and before getting the models, I couldn't piece together how Mario's height would agree with the Hydrant and the people given I was expecting that I would be shorter than the New Donkers, plus, the gameplay screenshots have too much 3D for measurement as well, heck, I couldn't even piece together how the people's heights would agree with the Hydrant, but after getting the models, I think I may have figured things out, Mario is a 3 foot tall little man with Dwarfism. Comparing Mario to Larry puts Larry at 2'05" which is shorter than the Fire Hydrant. Matpat's fans often tried to argue against the Hydrant measurements I did a while back claiming that Hydrants can come in any size, but I heard from my dad that Fire Hydrants are actually standardized, and are not legally allowed to be over a certain height. However, this is just a theory, and you're welcome to give criticisms to it

He didn't give it a second thought but after he noticed her babies were left motherless, and then raised them, teached them how to fly, and then the mother healed and kirby went on his way. I’m so happy you included the fact that Dreamland would have still been “dreamless” without the source of the Fountain of Dreams (unlike MatPat). Like yeah, nightmare can’t leave but no one can sleep! King DeDeDe knew he couldn’t fight Nightmare which is why he broke the star rod. Only a true star warrior (Kirby) can defeat him. And it’s not like Nightmare was out for long, Kirby beat his ass in two seconds. I like how you brought up other arguments that Mat tended to ignore. He released nightmare, only to defeat him and bring back dreams. He defeated Dyna Blade because she was disturbing the peace, not cuz “an apple fell on his head” smh. Good work!

I feel like it will be weird if Kirby couldn't hold the Star rod. It can hold the Master Sword and the Triple Star Rod which seem much heavier than the Star Rod.
The reason why Dedede lauched Kirby was because it was the fastest way to go after Nightmare, considering that Kirby floats very slowly and well, no time to call up the Warp Star.
One of my far-out theories is that the friend and Dark Hearts of Star Allies represent how people interpret art, especially kirby characters.
Void is a blank slate. Chaotic neutral, if you will. When postitive energy is added, it becomes a fighter for good and friendship. When it is under the influence of darkness, it is evil. Likewise, depending on how you add the influence of your point of view, Kirby is either the noble hero of Pop Star, or a genocidal maniac.
When Dedede and Meta Knight are under the influence of the Dark Hearts, they act exactly like they do in Dreamland 1 and Revenge of Meta Knight. AKA: villian roles, as well as how most people unfamiliar with Kirby see them.

As much as I do love this video and how it explains so much with such clear and concise examples and explanations, I also still love Matpat's earlier theory. A God of Destruction isn't necessarily evil. At all times, it was explained by Matpat that Kirby would be considered a chaotic neutral being. This had got me thinking on what Kirby could do at his full potiential... especially since he's related to the Void Soul and multiple other deities. I guess I'm just a sucker for good show, but I was waiting for Matpat to finish his part 2.
This is better though. It has more polish and focused explanations behind it and people respect this kind of kind and reasonable approach. Love it!

As I responded previously, the events went like this:
I originally was just planning to let the video go, not wanting to cause any drama or anything.
Then people starting asking my opinions of it, some even telling me Kirby was a villain because of said video, using said examples.
Eventually I made a poll on Twitter asking if I should make a video about Kirby and his personality, despite mentioning it several times in the series. 96% said yes. So here we are.
That being said, I still didn't want to stir up any drama, or call anyone out, and made the video as an indirect response of sorts.
Gotta say, I'm happy I took that approach =)
