    You need to use vice grips and yell "Bring The Thunder" when hitting the starter button!
    That seems to always work over at Vice Grip Garage!

    I miss that sound. I sold ours about a year after my husband died. Our weekend convertible. Member of MVPA in Florida. I just couldn't keep it up the way it deserved. He was Vietnam vet 101st Screaming Eagle.

    Hey, the Deuce is back! Thanks for sharing. I just went through pretty much the same situation with mine. Loose connection, arc, new terminals. It would be fun to watch some trail riding videos.

    Bad connections cause arhing and heat, bad cheap cables and weak batteries cause a lot of problems.
    Ps. Wasps eat insects, that eat your vegetables and on trees, without them you would have tons more insects.
    They are beneficial to garden and farms.

    When my Deuce started having those problems I had to replace the starter. It got progressively so bad it would blow molten lead all over the battery compartment (from the terminals overheating) each time I started the deuce. $300 and a local starter company made me a custom starter that was 1/3 the size of the OEM. Works better than new now.

    I always replace the bolts on batter terminals with stainless on any equipment that sits a while makes changing terminals much easier

    I also and always park mine in neutral, and push that stop pull back in after it stops running. I have had the gear lube get to cold to shift and not been able to get running. With it in neutral the engine warms it up. Had the stop pull get stuck out, but never again after pushing it back in.....

    "Have your tool kit ready"
    Good advice, but what's in your kit? 😜
    I didn't seem like you used the proper tool once in the video, and yet... ya still got it running. Your ingenuity is inspirational. Keep up the good work!

    I'm really sorry to say my friend your in need of a good tool set and remember that if you make contact with the positive post on the side of the battery box it will arc out big time. Next time use two sockets one on each end of th terminal to tighten. Absolutely unbelievable repair but in being fair i think you did get it going i had to stop watching it was to painful to heep viewing sorry but it's the truth.

      I grabbed a wasp by the leg with a pair of forceps and tied a loop around it's neck with fishing line. I kept it tied up at my desk for days, it had about 18" of line, it flew pretty good. Then someone smashed it.

    I just bought 4 rural king batteries a week ago. 2 for the diesel, 1 for the wifes car, and one for the Ferrari. The two for the diesel were the gold label, 24 month free replacement, the other two were the silver label 12 month free replacement maintenance free battery.
    In your experience do rural king batteries hold up like others do?

    • @deuceandguns
      @deuceandguns  2 года назад +1

      I've only bought three rural king batteries so far. The two in the deuce will sit outside for months and crank up without issues. The third is on a lawnmower and also does fine but I've not had any of them for over a year yet.
