    I have owned two of these. Good trucks. Just used mine for parades and events. Mine would start really quick as soon as you pushed in the button on the dash. Would like to own one again someday.

    New catch phrase “There’s no engine parts on the ground, so that’s a plus!” Should be on a t shirt.

    If they're not locked up, they run. I've seen them in every flavor of disrepair, but they are always running.

      You're right. Took mine on a venture this past winter and it started running bad while going up a hill about half into my trip. Sounds like it's missing, no power, blowing whitish blueish smoke.exhaust burns your eyes like no other. I turned around and limped home at a top speed of about 30-35 mph. Still have yet to figure it out, but it starts right up.

    Hello sir would you be able to show something on m936 bypassing the transfer case lockout , I understand stand the bad stuff that will happen if you hit low range driving but I'm the only one that drives and uses it . I only shift when stopped. I have a heck of a time shifting to neutral to to run the wrecker stuff then get back in gear, sometimes I just pump the brake to get rid of the air then it will shift . Just don't know air line to plug??? Thank you

      Replace. They're cheap. Or send all six off to get cleaned and set together.

    Any idea where I could get a front cargo rack for a drop sides? Before you headed overseas I saw there were ones in your yard. Not too big a deal. I plan to weld up new ones. But I am curious.

    • @tacticalrepair

      @tacticalrepair That's okay. I'll weld them. Thanks for the great video this last two weeks. Go home and give your girl a hug.

      @@gordonjohnson405 if I was going to build some, I'd post on one of the groups looking for just the troop seat hardware ( basically just the metal bits without wood) and then use 3/4"×3" aluminum rectangular tubing for all the slats. 1/16" wall would work great.

    • @gordonjohnson405
      @gordonjohnson405 Год назад +1

      @tacticalrepair Thanks. I already built the seats. Made the cross pieces with cedar. Just need the front rack. I used the NSN to lookup the specs. 38.35" x 3.25" x 1.25" for the two center posts. Army used 16 GA steel with a plywood insert. I think I'll skip the wood and use 3/8" steel. Two corner posts I will make by modifying some of the spare side stakes.

    Is it just me or when the truck shut off after the initial start up it sounded like the starter spun down like it had stuck.

    • @tacticalrepair
      @tacticalrepair  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I heard it too. That was the turbo spooling down.

    • @JollyGreen79
      @JollyGreen79 8 месяцев назад

      @@tacticalrepair no kidding? I've never heard a turbo sound like that spooling down. Sounded just like a stuck starter.

      Probably because it didn't have any oil in it yet. It sat for a long time, and I shut it down before it built oil pressure. I should've cranked it with the shutoff pulled until it built oil pressure but didn't think about it. Things get overlooked when you're filming sometimes. I wanted to show how easily I knew it would start, but didn't think about the oil prime.
