@@jackharrington4124 nope. Where the ball passes the third base bag on a ground ball. Fly ball or line drive that hits the ground after the bag matters where it lands. A groundball can pass over the bag fair and land foul. It is still a fair ball.
the best/worst thing about that jim joyce call is that he beats himself up for it and says in a interview "i took that damn ballgame away from that kid" and he feels bad about it and he knows he screwed up
I don't mind a bad call....it happens, humans make mistakes. It's when an umpire's ego takes over and they clearly overstep their authority to call Buehrle on multiple balks because he was upset with the first call. Or at the end when the guy called a swing on Howard after Howard displayed disagreement with the first check swing he was called on. It was so deliberate and disgusting.
All of these look like definitely blown calls the first time. But after carefully watching the replays u can tell the umpires got a few of these calls right and still had endure the berating of the fans, players, coaches, announcers, ect. Still great video tho. 👍
Wow you all are so wrong. First they are right that call is fucking awful. And both announcers got fired because they weren't homers. They were very critical of the bad teams and stupid moves they made. Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton were fantastic. Super real. And the Marlins had so many sucky years and they announced like real fans with excitement and with anger.
@ 5:27, you can see the where the ball landed in the glove and bounced into the fielder's palm. That's a good call. Even the view from the front shows the ball landing in the glove.
The interference rule is enforced by Umpire discretion. If in the umpire's discretion the coach, assisted/hindered a player then he can call interference on the coach. Which results in the runner being out. The coach is required to stay inside the coach's box but most umpires are lenient on this. That being said if a coach is outside of this box and interacts with a player physically during a live ball the umps are more likely going to call interference on the coach.
it's really amazing how these players resist hitting these umpires when they blow these calls it makes it really hard to watch the game when the league does nothing about it
That was heartbreaking as not only a Detroit fan but as a baseball fan to see a pitcher robbed of a perfect game because of bad umpiring

@@jackharrington4124 nope. Where the ball passes the third base bag on a ground ball. Fly ball or line drive that hits the ground after the bag matters where it lands. A groundball can pass over the bag fair and land foul. It is still a fair ball.
The fair or foul reaction is hilarious
Crabking Jake I love the Marlins Announcers!
Crabking Jake a la Hawk Harrelson. MERCY!!!
Gallaraga almost had the perfect game until Jim Joyce made a safe call on the 27th batter.
the best/worst thing about that jim joyce call is that he beats himself up for it and says in a interview "i took that damn ballgame away from that kid" and he feels bad about it and he knows he screwed up
Vin Scully is an absolute legend. Replay obviously shows Dodgers got a call they shouldn't have and VS says "Well, you make the call" haha
NGL, I'm a little disappointed in Vin for that one.
That is the reason why umpire needs a discipline to make it better.
6:16 you know you're wrong when Jeter argues.
If Jeter told you to jump off a cliff...
Yea exactly. 1st thing I thought when I saw his reaction.
Fuck Jeter.
freeyourmindtc coundt have said it better Lmao
I don't mind a bad call....it happens, humans make mistakes. It's when an umpire's ego takes over and they clearly overstep their authority to call Buehrle on multiple balks because he was upset with the first call. Or at the end when the guy called a swing on Howard after Howard displayed disagreement with the first check swing he was called on. It was so deliberate and disgusting.
It’s heartbreaking to see players robbed by men on the take.
2:46 “Who is that, Jim Joyce?” -Some drunk guy
A Twins fan said that. Cool.
10:25 made me laugh how his whole face was shaking while chewing that gum.
slebi let’s hope that’s gum
Lets hope thats not his actual skin
All of these look like definitely blown calls the first time. But after carefully watching the replays u can tell the umpires got a few of these calls right and still had endure the berating of the fans, players, coaches, announcers, ect. Still great video tho. 👍
As a Mets fan, this compilation hurts me.
I'm a sox fan so what do you think I'm going through right now
Thanks for posting this video. You just made my day! Keep on posting more blown call videos if you wish. Again, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! :)
The perfect game being taken is so hard to watch, it makes me sick.
Gallaraga's "perfect game" blown call by Jim Joyce has made him a bigger part of history than if the call was right.
Bob Sacamano lol
It kinda has in a way. We all remember him. I know i cant name every perfect game winner just off the top of my head
3:34 those Marlins announcers... 💀😂😂
They're so annoying and bias. They need to go through puberty too cuz therre voices are so god damn high.
Biggest Savage
lmao true. Biased af
Just like Hawk.
The almost perfect one was terrible
Luke Cifuentes at least he admitted his mistake afterwards, unlike most of these refs
Stack Guy umps*
Luke Cifuentes that is true. he did apologize and felt bad about it afterwards
Luke Cifuentes I call it the 28 out perfect game. That is just sad
I'm a Twins fan, and I started watching around the 6th inning. I was pissed. "He got the perfect ga- WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?"
these umpires are horrible
Hawk hating on Joe West is the best thing ever 😂😂😂
10:27. Joe West man. Look at that shit shake
Unions, lol.
Joe West is a disgrace to the game.
West thinks the fans come to see HIM.
Yeah, Joe sucks but Bob Davidson was the worst imo. He'd toss anyone that even looked like they were going to argue with him. Even fans!
Oh, Bob Davidson. Holy shit. Fuck that guy.
10:56 “joe west has been a great umpire” (John cena face comes in) “are you sure about that?”
This is a hard video to watch without screaming for retribution.
this channel is great, thanks for the videos man
Thanks a lot!! :) More to come!
Joe West has one of the biggest double chins I've ever seen.
The look on poor Galaraga's face after that fair call. How can he smile knowing he got robbed of a perfect game?
5:29 that’s a catch. It looks like it bounces but it just bounced on top of his glove. The side angle clearly shows a catch
SimonSaysDAB his glove was in between the ground and the ball
If only you could challenge back then
How Jim Joyce can sleep at night is amazing. Biggest blown call ever
How quickly we forget Don Denkinger
That player touching the coach though is technically interference
No it's not....it's only interference if he helps the runner by pushing or pulling him towards a base or in the basepath. He barely touched him.
MightyMac21, It is not illegal for a coach to touch a runner. It is illegal if by touching him, the coach assists him.
The interference rule is enforced by Umpire discretion. If in the umpire's discretion the coach, assisted/hindered a player then he can call interference on the coach. Which results in the runner being out. The coach is required to stay inside the coach's box but most umpires are lenient on this. That being said if a coach is outside of this box and interacts with a player physically during a live ball the umps are more likely going to call interference on the coach.
except there is another angle that shows the player didn't make contact with the coach.
@@MrWarren1991 In what way does that help? Interference is still a Judgement call on the umpire's part.
The Tiger's clip at the end was at the verge of a perfect game, but the ump blew the call
No shit! And Jim Joyce owned up to his bad call the next day in a press conference.
it's really amazing how these players resist hitting these umpires when they blow these calls it makes it really hard to watch the game when the league does nothing about it
