So you are commissioned. Understand you will never drill like this and when a battalion, company, platoon do, you will be behind looking sloppy with bags of doritos and bottles of chilled water. You will have your own state rooms on ships, while the the SNCO's sleep in open area's sharing the same facilities. You will eat healthy fresh foods while enlisted eat salty processed canned foods. You outrank the SMMC the moment you graduate OCS. You will walk around as a butterbar where a 48 year old Master Gunnery Sergeant has to salute you and call you 'Sir'.

How about instead of marching recruits around MCRDSD, you do research, homework, or surround yourself with Marines of all ranks and chal talk how you’re going to help the overall Marine in front of the people (Congress/Senate) that make or break the Marine Corps.
