My platoon’s drill instructors cadences were horrible. We weren’t good at close order drill because of that. lol, our drill instructors were always pissed at us.
All of mine could sing except for Drill instructor Sergeant Jackson. He could hardly drill. He was there to continuously yell at us over any and everything.

Boot Camp at San Diego, MCRD in 1970 and I had a Senior Drill Instructor, GySgt. Narcisse and his cadence was the very best I ever heard in my career of 30 years. It made the entire platoon stand a little taller and march a little bit better than I could believe. Platoon 1126 September-November 1970 Ooooorah!!!!!!!🇺🇸
@@matthewjones39 When I went through no drill Instructor ever called any cadence other than the standard, Hut 2 3 4. And, while each drill instructor had his own style and sound, our senior drill instructor was head and shoulders above the rest.
