That was a great video, as long as the youtuber stays on topic the time length does not matter to me. You always get to the meat and I like that. I get really bored when the meat is 5 minutes and the video is 30 minutes of fluff. You do great and this video was awesome . Seems all we ever see is the successes. It can be a bit depressing when we compare our reality to that. Thank you for doing such an informative honest video

Loved this video. Liked the longer length. I had suggested to another well know RUclipsr to do the same before I started watching you because we need to see the other side not just always the highest best sales. And on that channel my idea got shut down by one of the channels aggressive moderators and the RUclipsr herself did not even speak on it or intervene. So thanks for listening to feedback in your comments and also if you do start having moderators be careful who you select as some of these mods take their 'jobs' too seriously.

I would say at this point, unless you are OK making 2-3x mark-ups...everything in a typical Thrift Store is an avoid. These places have caught on. In my area they mark any decent named brand clothing item from 11.49 to as high as 79. Most shirts start at $11.49. Most would barely bring $20. Even at half off you are maybe going to 2x your money. Doable but a huge investment sitting. I think their goal is to simply replace resellers. Once they catch onto the rest of their store its over folks...

I've also noticed that demand, and values on certain items tends to fluctuate (sometimes frequently) Sometimes items will sell for big money, almost as soon as you list them. Other times, not so much. I think there are a lot of variables that influence this... too much supply, current trends, seasonal changes, and just simple timing (finding the right buyer at the right time). I've had pretty good luck with electronics, as well, although some things can be hard to sell, depending on what they are (heavy items with expensive shipping, for example). Ive also had good luck selling random, hard to find, and discontinued items.

The wheels would sell most times it's with a copy of Mario Kart Wii which isn't cheap. The other controllers that sold quick were all Xbox One but non were tested vs the PS3 controllers have just sat and those are all fully tested and work great. That is the worst part when you buy an item that isn't price or seasonal sensitive so you truly don't know what to do to fix it.

Those blank burnable CDs do well on Amazon. Sometimes it's the market you are trying to sell it to. eBay is weird like that. I would tell you this, depends on what you are trying to do. Picking up selling things for the future is just as important as picking up things to sell right now. It's a mind set. You know what will eventually sell and that's great advice already. Most people doing this need to know that it's not instant money. It's slow growth that's heavily rewarded on ebay. Amazon it's pretty opposite. If you have the goods and list it all right away you'll almost always do better. Ebay is not. If you list everything day one, you'll get one pump and it'll keep decreasing even if you do another big lot of entries.

A little confused on the steam iron. You said you sold one the same day for 70 bucks, but then you started buying the same ones and found out they were walmart brands not worth much? So the first one you sold was only worth 30 bucks and you sold it for 70? Or you saying you sold a different model of that brand that was worth more than the others you bought? Also, wouldnt looking up the comps before buying them up resolve this issue before having backup inventory of cheap steamers?

I go through my listings once a month.. the items not selling get a price drop. 2 things happen, the item moves to the top and 2 they generally sell. You’re still making money just not what you wanted..

I got an email from Stanley to take out my listing on Ebay unless I'm licensed with them and it's not a VERO. I ignored them and it sold but I'll probably won't list them again because I don't want to get sued.

That being said that is the opinion of one person, I just caution about morphing your content too much based on individual feedback. I personally appreciate short videos. I’ll come across someone’s video that I would like to watch (any topic, not just reselling) but if it’s 20 minutes or more, I pass. I have too much to do do waste 30, 45, or 60 minutes on a video.
