Hey, you guys had way too much fun out there. Thats how it should always be. Craig some really outstanding shots in the video. Those moss covered rocks with the gnarly trees, I would have spent hours there alone. Thanks really a great video

Hi Thomas. A little fun and banter breaks up the morning. The gnarly trees are awesome, with mist they are epic. Thank you for watching.

Interesting video Craig. You and Eddie make quite the double act! I only started photography just over a year ago and didn’t have a tripod when I first started out, so i would say I probably shoot hand held 90% of the time as a result. I’m not a big fan of tripods as I find them restrictive and a faff at times. Having said that, the woodland is the one place I use it most of the time as I find woodland shots need a lot of precision and the tripod definitely helps with that. Not sure if you have seen the capture clips you can buy these days. I have a Peak Design capture clip and it’s great for holding the camera on the rucksack strap for easy access and to avoid bumps and scrapes.

Hi Anthony. When you say double act it makes me think of Laurel and Hardy. I will let you work out who is who.🤣 In my non tripod days I used to end up machine gunning shots, so I needed something to slow me down, however as I said in the video we can miss the glancing light on the landscape whilst faffing with a tripod. I am hoping my new approach will allow me to net more worthy images. I do have a peak design clip, but could not get on with it. I will give it another try and maybe pop the vlogging camera on it. Thank you for watching.

Hi Craig for Nature and Wildlife I much prefer handheld because of the freedom it offers. I don't even like using a Monopod for that sort of photography. For Landscapes I do still prefer using a tripod if conditions allow as it slows me down but if the light is changing then I have no issues shooting handheld especially with the Fuji XH2s that has built in IS and paired with a lens that has IS I can shoot at fairly low shutter speeds. Obviously if I'm out shooting scenes with moving water then I'll always use a tripod so I can use ND filters to get the preferred shutter speed. I can't believe Eddie lost something else 😂 no actually, I can 😊

Hi Paul. We probably all have slightly different approaches to our photography and settle on what works and feels right for us.The Peak district must be littered with Lost Eddie technology. He has a real knack for losing it.If I lost anything I would be sent straight to the doghouse. So I tend to have everything bolted down. Thank you for watching.

Hi Eddie great video. Watching you on my Tv I spilt my coffee 3 times hearing you say my name. I think a tripod positively slows you down and therefore makes you give more thought and time to the composition etc. the video work on your Lake District was outstanding.

Hi Mark. I am Craig the Hobbit and Eddie is more the Hagrid Harry Potter figure. If all this hand held stuff goes terribly wrong you might hear your name again. 😆The Lake district is visually breath taking at times, all the other b-roll will be hit and miss as I focused more on the still shots in the rest of the videos. Thank you for watching and contributing to the challenges of photography.

Why not set off fireworks at the same time as using the hover drone, I’m sure everybody else out in the countryside would like to know you are there.

Hi Steve. It is indeed very noisy and cannot fly at any height, so would annoy anyone in close proximity. Because of it's ease of use and handy pocket size you can see a lot of people using this. For me I will stick to my DJI mini 2 which is quieter and goes straight up high out of earshot. Thank you for watching.
