Dude, you are my hero. This is the 50-th video that actually gets to the point and shows you want you need to do, quick and simple. I went over so many of people jiggling their cameras and showing off their screw drivers. You are a god!!!!!!

If some light's still working check the ground cable, follow the path from the connector (usually brown cable) all of the ground's comes to one location which is in the trunk, make sure there no broken wires, that pretty typical think for 2006-2009 x5's. also the plate itself, make sure it working, you can remove the unit and connect to oposit side. connector should fit. the last one its the test it true the INPA. that video should be pretty helpful - ruclips.net/video/pvNRRiD4utc/видео.html
Check the wiring. Put something on break peddle, and go to the back of the car and try to touch some harness, follow the wires, squish the boot, and so, se if any of that action makes different, also check ground cabels.the material shrink when temperature go down. There could be loose connection somewhere.
That's normal, car can detect that the circuit was cut, and send it to different light, it only work with brake light or the turn signal. I have same solution for all of the owners of 2007-2008 e70, remove the light and clean all the connections, Not long ago I purchased another BMW X5 and it has this problem as well.
Both my brake and turn signal lights work but my daytime running l bulb isn’t getting any power on the right side of the car .. it worked before just went out no wires are burnt no grounds are broken or dirty … I can’t find a fuse for the tail light
I had this issue. No burn hole though. I did the same and it has been good for over 15 months now. But last night, I realised the left taillight was on. The light switch was off and key was in the house. I tapped on the light several times. It flickered and eventually turned off. Does anyone know the cause?
Make sure the cassette is in good condition, also any missing pieces, over the years it’s start falling a part, I would take the electric cleaner and spray everything on the board, remove all the bulbs and make sure no corrosion, the plate is a simple circuit board.

What if signal reverse and brake lights all don’t work on just the right side?

@@Makhnovets sweet, Thanks.
Also, this only happens in the cold weather. On warmer days, my tail lights work just fine. Do you know why that might be?

Np))
not a sustaiable solution
But it works. And if you put a little electric grease on too the connections, it will less.
