Thank you, kind sir. I spent more time watching the video than doing the fix! Your generosity of sharing saved me hundreds and more importantly, look good in front of my wife.
unbelievable this actually works. Took about 20 minutes to get my left running light back operational. I am proud of myself for getting this done with the help of this great video. saved a ton of $$.
With time, 3 of 4 lights of my f25 went down. Bmw wanted to charge 375 + 281 + 281 euros to fix them. Thanks to you it's been 38 euros and 40 minutes work. Thank you very much.
Thanks for this. I paid $430 at the dealer for the right-hand side two and now feel ripped off. I replaced the 2 on the left in 20 minutes along with melting the plastic to hold the thinner chip instead of using electrical tape. Awesome. Doing this myself cost me $25 and my time. I wish there was more transparency at the dealer. Overpriced service and parts.
Bro can’t thank you enough for this video. Almost bought it at the dealer with huge prices. Thanks for leaving the link to Amzn. I just order the 4 pack.
I changed one of my boards several years ago. This is a perfect video. Just as I recall doing the job. Thanks! Unbelievable that BMW will not repair the light; they just replace the whole assembly at a huge cost.
I just bought a CPO 2017 BMW X3 back in 2020 and the inner tail lights never worked, I see other X3 on the road with the same issue. Feel stupid that I never knew that inner back light was not just a relfector. Thank you for sharing!
Same problems on the BMW E92s, however more difficult to put right though still possible. The LEDs stop functioning due to a dry joint on the circuit board, to access the circuit board the plastic has to be cut or melted away from the back of the assembly because the whole unit is enclosed.
Awesome video!! Thanks so much… Mine is a 2011 95k miles and just got the rear outer one damaged, inner ones never have turned on, my mom had a 2014 and never came on either, do all versions turn on? Or are the boards probably bad also? Many thanks again!
Bought the four Panel from the link for a UK 2013 F25 X3, opened the light housing but there is no Panel or wiring for it there..... might it be a different LED system for UK?
Exactly. I just pulled my panel on my F25 only to see that other than the very first connector he removed, there was no chip, no board or even any other wires in there, only 2 light bulbs that I verified works. Now I am stymied again. Anyone have this issue as well?
I’ll be honest. I don’t fully remember what tools it takes. But if the screws have a 6 sided Star looking head. You’ll need torque bits. You could also send me pictures on Instagram if you need more help. @Tenza_motorsports
My dealership is telling that these inner trunk light is not suppose to turn on for BMW X3. As far as i remember it was working before. Can you please let me know if these tailgate lights are specific to certain model of X3? I have 2017 BMW X3. Please help.
My certified BMW mechanic wanted to give me new assemblies at $398 EACH. I laughed at him. Then he tried to soldier the boards. I've seen videos on that also. (You might have too. Guy working in the dark and "repairing" then.) Guaranteed that as soon as temp rises, those lights will go out again as his repair cracks. Thanks for this video kid!
How to fix LED tail lights on F25 X3 I have no light on the right side of my car. I replaced the control board with a new one, but it still doesn't work, and there is still no light. I discovered that there is no issue with both the control board and the bulb. Could there be another issue, such as cables or a fuse, causing this?
@@tenzabuilds6290 X1 E84 or the X1 F48? We have an F48 with the same problem. The first time the dealer replaced the tail light (warranty) but there is again a problem. Because of the high cost AND the uncertainty that this problem will not return I would give it a try one our F48..... By the way: nice and very clear how-to! Thx.
Definitely not nervous. When this video was posted I had been doing videos for close to 4 years. Can’t please everyone. If I don’t explain everything in thorough detail I get comments complaining I didn’t say enough.

Decided to try RUclips before the dealership glad I did! I was having the exact same issue and just ordered my new part from the link! Thank you

Nice job! We just bought our F25 and this was the most in depth well done video! Next for me is LED headlights and side markers!,
Great tutorial!
Noticed both inner lights out in my wife’s X3 as she was driving away to work this morning…
Very clear instructions. Changed two cards in less than 30 minutes. Thanks a lot!

Magical and thank you for creating this video. I changed the board of my X3 and it worked. Thank you
I appreciate your video from Amazon ordering to step by step it all worked out. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the comment
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. This saved me $285! Keep up the great work.
Crazy how expensive this stuff is if you don’t do it yourself.
Just ordered the parts from the link you provided - Thanks for the video and appreciate it - u did a huge favor!
Excellent video, the best I have seen so far. Thanks for doing it, great help!
Glad we could help you out!
Awesome video! Thanks! Purchased the 4 pack LEDs off Amazon from your link
Thanks
This was a direct and easy to follow video.
I'm going to try it
Hi! Great video! I’m about to try to fix mine. I don’t find the Amazon link for it. Can somebody help me please with the link.

Hello, great video! Can you advise please for the x1 model, same issue, what chip model I should look for?
This kit repaird can be used also on Bmw 2 series 2016 active tourer,F45?I have the same issues! Thanks!
I have no idea what other models this works on. We just know it works on the x3
Did you experience any radio interference? I read some reviews and the remote and tpms sensors were affected.
hello, thanks for your video, can you tell me how to find that spare part for the stop LED please.

Is there a link for the tail light bulb? I replaced this and still nothing.
thanks man !!! super helpful video as my tailgate light went out.

Same here. I heard to replace these then when I removed the lights there is no board to replace. 2014 X3 28i.
Hello. Can those LED lights be replaced in the front headlight to?
Fantastic!! Thank you sir!! I subscribed 🎉🎉🎉😊
super clear and helpful, thanks a lot!
Hello, what kind of screw driver i have to buy? I am trying to remove mine too but i don't have the tools. Thank you

Does that board also control the inboard tailgate lights. They are incandescent and one is not working. It's not the bulb.
Yes they should all use the same chip. The kit I link in the description have all four parts. Two on each side. One for each tail light piece
Great video!! Where can I find the amazon link to purchase the 4 led control boards?

@@tenzabuilds6290 thanks a lot
What is the plastic cover trim that you removed called? Like the backside of the tail light when you took it off to replace it?
I don’t know the exact part numbers

The tailgate lights are supposed to be working. The x3 we have here is the F25 model

Great video, thanks. It covered it all!

Hi , where can i buy this tail light bulbs ?
Fantastic video.
Thank you very much!
for X1 it's work?
Come so chiama su amazon il pezzo che hai sostituito a me serve per x1 f48. Grazie
its works at bmw 320 E90 2011?
I wouldn’t know. I’ve only done an X3
Would this work for F10?
How to fix LED tail lights on F25 X3
I have no light on the right side of my car.
I replaced the control board with a new one, but it still doesn't work, and there is still no light. I discovered that there is no issue with both the control board and the bulb.
Could there be another issue, such as cables or a fuse, causing this?
I really don’t know I would check fuses first. Sorry for the late reply. Did you end up fixing it?
@@tenzabuilds6290 Unfortunately have not been able to find the error. Isn't the fuse common to the rear lights.
Thanks heaps - big help!!
Real helpful ! Thx
do the control boards work if the X3 does not have LED lights?
I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure this is only for this exact tail light
I fixed mine by reheating every solder point visible using a soldering iron. Didn't even need to remove the old board.
Great fix! If you know how to solder, this is a good way to repair it.
Hi ,is it the same for x5 f15 please ?
I really don't know. I’m sure it’s similar but I haven't done an X5
How can I order ? Do you have the link?
The link is in the description!
Can someone please help me find these for 2007 335i 2dr convertible !!!
Bro 100% I was just quoted $600 an an entire assembly because the running LED was out. I owe you $580
That’s awesome! It’s a key reason. Why I made this video. EASY fix! Feel free to shoot that money over whenever you’re ready🤣
Nice easy fix. The dealer wants 100s of dollars to buy a new light assembly!
Does this work on a 2012 f10?
I wouldn’t know. I’ve only don’t this to the x3
Thank you so much for this, saved me $100.
Tip: wear gloves so you dont get a cut.
Thank you for sharing
do you have the part name and number?? thanks
amzn.to/2R4Esq6
Yes, fine. But on X1 you have to change the whole light, everything is hidden underneath and glued together...
Well that’s unfortunate for X1 owners. The X3 is easy.
Same trouble on my x1

I have the same issue but for me its the inside of the bulb that works and outside doesnt
Sorry for the late reply. Were you able to figure out what you needed to do?
I am about to do this but didn't see how that nut really comes off - hope it's not too bad - scared to death really LOL
I hope it goes well for you. It was pretty smooth for me
Me too, don't know how to take that nut off
My inner ones are just a bulb but the outer ones have the led chip I wish it was all just a bulbs
Hi
I have same problem with BMW X1 2019/06
Do you know eney reference number please
thanks
This isn't a factory replacement. They don't have a part number, because BMW will just replace the whole assembly if you take it to them.
Hi. Ok, But how can I do the same with a Bmw X1 2019? It is the same Valeo Board?
Спасибо
Oh. I thought that would be more difficult. That’s a pretty suv.

There’s nothing wrong with being thorough. Better to be then not to be.
Even 2 years after this video posted it’s very helpful for us DIY people!
Does this work on a 2017 x3 28i?
This works on any BMW that has control boards running the tail lights
