- In this episode I will fix the rear lights on this bmw x3 f25, the lights are with led and the drivers that control them from thermal contractions they break down create cold soldering , something quite easy to fix, but there are also cases where cant be fixed and for that I left you a link below with the whole board just plug n play !

You don’t have to remove the whole back lift gate trim to access the center tail lights. there are 2 windows that pop off right on the trim, that will give you all the access you need. And will save you 30-60 min 😂
Very useful video! I also found the same defective soldered resistor on my board. Just a little clarification: you don't really need to remove all those big plastic parts of the back door.

Worked 100% ! It was that R750 needed resoldering. Very good to mention you need to heat the card under it to get good solder. I have not seen that tip in other videos. Thankfully my workplace has all equipment for this.

Can we do the same diagnosis and apply the same fix for BMW x1 F48 2016 model? Issue is rear Left LED Taillight is not working although left outer light is working fine.

Hey @M.Ovidiu I have a broken E61 LCI 3rd brake light, some of the leds in the array are either off or give very dim light, is there any fix for this? a replacement unit sets me back 150 euro, even from the scrapyard. Any ideas?
Well, it depends on the problem, if you don't disassemble it, you can't know what is the problem !

Salut Ovidiu,am un f45 si la farul dreapta fata unul din cele 2 angels functioneaza jumatate cu intensitate normala si cealalta jumatate cu o intensitate mai scazuta.Se poate repara sau.....Ms.
Salut. va trebui desfacut si vazut care e problema , dar de obicei se topeste capatul fibrei si atunci va trebui inlocuita (decapsat farul )
Te salut cu stima! La modelul meu X3 2011 F25 ledul poziție dreapta spate e mai slab ca intensitate decât celalalt. Dacă schimb modulul va rezolva problema? Mulțumesc!

Hello, they are identical to all 4 lights, 2 on the tailgate and 2 on the body.

Hello Robert . First you need to do some investigation! if you are not able, I advise you to go to your local BMW specialist!
How you seal the backlight lamp on trunk on bmw x5 e70
I try original sponge all around backlight and also that black butyl band sealant
But water came inside from time to time
You need to have the original seal to be in good condition , clean the vehicle surface, apply a little bit of grease ideally silicon grease and mount it back, no other seals added or other stuff. Watch the video!!!

it is quite cheap ti replace. 40$ for both and you are done

salut , nici ledurile mele de la F48 2019 nu se mai deschid alea care is pe portbagaj in dreapta, SPUNE-MI TE ROG tare mult, POT CUMPARA PLACILE ASTEA de undeva de pe net, ca nu ma apuc sa folosesc cositor si alte prostii....

Why bmw do this bad cold welding?
They were done very well ! but due to the regulations in force related to pollution, lead is no longer used in the solder and as a result after many thermal contractions it cracks and creates a cold solder or imperfect contact.

There’s absolutely no need to remove the entire rear door panel to remove the taillights. Just the covers. Did anyone else realize this ?

This video is very misleading you do not need to take all the plastic off, there are two access points when you take off and unscrew the lights. I did this myself years ago. What a waste of time. Secondly you can buy those boards on Amazon for $19 each.
This video is misleading in witch way? This is not a DIY , it says very clearly in the video description, this is an entertainment video.
