A repair instead of a replacement. Now that's old school and refreshing.

Thank you my friend. This fix is proven to work. I fixed so many BMW tail lights this way with zero come backs. Cheers

Excellent demonstration of what is wrong with the point of attachment of the rear light (lamp) leads and how the soldiering will fix the problem.

No joy😡😟🤪metal circuit board area was pitted just like yours. nice dollop of solder added, socket looked tired so I ordered a replacement. Fresh bulb, fuse #9 verified ok. I did add a lay up of solder to the tabs on the socket- also from another vid- I was sure to remove and reinsert key to apparently reset the electrical system. Maybe I’ll swap in the socket from the drivers side... ideas?

Great repair. Beats buying a new tail light as it is a common failure.

It seems BMW cars have this problem especially on the passenger side. My son has a 540I and a his buddy also has EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM.There is no excuse for this from a premium auto company.
