Self deprecation is a sign of at least moderate intelligence, some level of self confidence or just being ok with yourself, and most importantly for mental health as you age, not taking yourself too seriously.
Whiskey took until about age 30 to acquire the taste for it (that's probably a good thing, because I did a lot of drinking in my 20's!)
A Randy Rhoads, "broken V," was my first guitar, and a Spanish classical acoustic was my second guitar.
So yes, sitting in the classical position with these bodies, or any Flying V body style, and / or playing in a classical seated position with anything, for that matter, it feels very comfortable and natural for me.
It helps maintain a healthy playing position for your fretting hand and wrist also.
That may not seem like it matters much for you right now, but in time it likely will...

I just got a chance to play the Brent Hinds V by Epiphone. I was surprised by it's quality. It's easily better than the Gibson B-2 Flying V.

Classical position is far, far more comfortable. I don't have to kill my back leaning over and I don't have to kill my wrist on my fretting hand trying to bend it in awkward positions. But you're young and don't hurt all over yet.

I've always been a fan of the white with oxblood / red pickguard color scheme. Would've preferred to see a natural fingerboard, but I think the painted white fingerboard is what makes it pop. Not ugly imo.
I wonder how a painted fingerboard holds up over time.....

You should review one of the new PRS Dustie Waring signature models (maybe the Waring burst finish? It’s the most unique, to me). They have Mojotone pickups, which I’m fairly certain you haven’t played on the channel before

I am NOT a Gibson/Epi apologist, but mine was pristine with none of the few items noted here and it has quickly become my favorite Gibson brand instrument, knocking off two very special 2015 Les Pauls from the top of the list. I need to mention that none of my Gibson's or Epi's have displayed many, if any, QC issues, though I have no doubt that many have existed and may continue to exist, though I have, to this point, have noticed less in my Gibson's vs. other major manufacturer's. Luck of the draw, maybe.

@@Calcium_Penguin Since we are being fair, my actual favorite guitar is my Fender Strat Ultra, but is is fairly new and I have been in Epi mode since I got the Dave Rund and have been customizing and modifying the heck out of it, including much nicer pickups (see, expensive). BYW, what would you put in your V if money were no object? That particular V, at least. Also, if you ever decide to sell, let me know. THX

Looks and sounds good but I feel you on the jack placement it's definitely awkward and kind of makes it look bad.
Would have probably been better for looks if it was on the inside of the V but oh well. Like the color scheme though not flashy or ugly.
And the hybrid a case bag sounds cool wasn't aware of them.
Hey Hunter, this is some excellent content as usual. Really appreciate your honesty on the little flaws you spotted on this particular unit, despite liking the brand so much. Honesty towards the gear reviewed is what lacks a lot on youtube these days.
As a Flying V user, I'd suggest, if you wanna grab one someday, that you sit on one of those chairs that are slightly high, so you're set up in a position in between standing up and sitting down, which is quite comfortable when you use V's (check out Richie Faulkner's videos from EMG TV to see what I'm talking about).
Anyway, keep it up, cheers! (Sorry for the eventual mistakes, not a native English speaker)

You are likely a far more sophisticated (read: talented) than I. I am a hack, but I love this guitar. Do you mind telling me what causes that neck hump speed jump noise you gear? Thanks.
@@craiggallagher7292 Not a great player, but I have worked on many an axe. Way down the board, near the body joint, the truss rod doesn't extend that far. If you ever let(not just epiphones) certain guitars go through extremes of temperature/humidity, or sitting in the case too long.... The only way to get it out is to grind a BUNCH of fret material in that area, OR pull the frets off and reshape the fingerboard. I have done the former, and I think it's worth a try, before resorting to the latter.
Since you seem to be far more knowledgeable than I, by leaps and bounds, could you give me a hint on where I might find some up-gradable and/or replacement parts. I need a new pickguard, for example, and a few other parts need to be replaced on my guitar. Thanks!

Am surprised you don't know why the jack is placed on tip of the bottom fin. It's on the same profile as the 1958 Gibson Flying-V, aka the gen-1 Flying V.
Take a look at the 1967 Flying-V and you'll see their subtle differences.
Did you do something radically different with the EQ on the demo mix? Sounded like it was missing all the top end. 🤔
Those are the Probuckers lol. Like especially on the cleans you can hear they're super boomy for my liking on the lower frequencies and it kind of drowns out everything else sometimes, especially if you're chugging a lot :/

All of them that I get from Sam Ash are on loan just for the review! If I work directly with brands it depends on the deal we’ve worked out. It varies but if I keep it I say that in the video :)

Something Different yes, the exact same V. Same pick guard style with the input jack on the horn. Same thing, except without the finish, obviously - since it’s a kit

The issue with the binding looks like fret sprout
The pickguard can be fixed with a file. The truss rod cover too... The jack is a pain in the ass... You would have to fill that holes either with wood or resin, level it, paint it white and then put the jack where is supposed to be. Right by the strap button..... I´d rather build a replica of this one than buy it imo...
The neck feels a bit broader than regular guitars. Does that make it a bit hard to play ?

@@s1iznc1d34 funny u bring up HarleyBenton I have there sc-1000 the esp copy 24. Mine came with some issues crack ,some hardwear an electrical issues but it was under 200 USD to my door. Dialed in ,cleaned up new nut my guitar plays n sounds fine .
@@s1iznc1d34 no brand new. Could be the shipping from Germany to New York?? Idk. Nice little 1st fret crack. It's not on the fret board the neck near the bottom part close to the nut. I got the guitar early April n it's not got worse . Bad bridge ,neck pick up goes in an out (got a Emg 81 on hand) and the 3 way toggle switch broke lol. The crack n shit pick up kinda sucks. I got lucky 1 the crack is not near where I play etc 2 it's not super deeper not got worse . It's a Lp copy the esp 1000. Mine is the 24 fret set neck hbz high gain active pups. No clean playing there supper hot bro. 192.00 +12 an I keep it clean I was gifted a new bridge n pick up I could careless. Tbh the toggle is still broken so add another Idk 10 bucks for a good one.
Great video...at first I wanted one of these as I seen a video from Winter Namm that said it was made of mahogany and will be 'under 7' bill's,turns out to be Okueme and a 100 bucks more.I tried one at Sam Ash when they first arrived,felt cheap and didn't like how it sounded at all,I have two other Epiphone V's a Brent Hinds and a Amo Bonamassa (also with pro bucker 2 and 3's) and they feel and play 'solid'.I buy a lot of V's,so with respect to the artist,I'm sure I will pass on this one...

totally agree, i love v shaped guitars, particularly my 2016 gibson, but this looks like crap lol would kill for a ESP/LTD arrow though
