1) the concentration of ammonia is 15%. 2) Absolutely, putting the beaker in an ice bath can be a safer and more controlled method, especially when dealing with reactions that involve heat generation. The use of an ice bath helps regulate the temperature and prevents the reaction from getting too exothermic or overheating. This is particularly crucial in chemical processes where maintaining a specific temperature range is important for the success of the reaction and for safety reasons. but in my case the weather is too cold. so that's why i didn't used it. but i will prefer you to use ice bath.
@Molybdenum-h I got 22% ammonium solution, do you know how much ammonium nitrate you can produce per milliliter or per 100ml or something? Just so I have an idea of how much to use, because i have a whole liter and I think it will be too much.
@@morphicresonancechannel604I think it's around 68 -70% because when nitric acid solution have Concentration 70% or above it's can't store in normal container
Wow, gotta admit it, all of videos in this channel some nitroglycerin, urea nitrate, ammonium nitrate is what i need, thanks bro ❤❤
all of these videos is for educational purpose only. do not misuse this information
Pretty cool! What percentage of ammonium did you use? Also, wouldnt putting the beaker in an ice bath be better and safer?

if you are using 68% nitric acid so 0.22 moles of nitric acid is required@@ElPsyCongroo.
@@Molybdenum-h 15%? oh
How you obtained the Ammonia Nitrate from the cooled solution?
How many ml of nitric acid did you use?
32.5 ml of concentrated nitric acid
@@Molybdenum-h must be an specific % concentration?

@@พฎฐานฑมัคโฒน thanks mate
Should this be dried of the H2O via a methanol wash?
Hello, have you tried it with potassium nitrate ? Because it's easier to get than nitric acid
I have experimented with it.
@@Molybdenum-h and is it the same ? Or do the impurities make a big difference?
@@adrixyn
not much
@@Molybdenum-h ok thank you I will try it
@@adrixyn sure but with proper safety.

it's impressive! however, a similar thing can be done with potassium nitrate and sugar
Yes you're right.
What percentage of nitric acid do you use
68%
@@Molybdenum-h thanks
thk
Oh god, the music and audio levels...
lol
is 5% ammonia the standard?
32.5 ml of concentrated nitric acid + How many ml of % 5 ammonia did you use? Ammonia 5% or 15%??
Why don't you do it in a ice bath?
