Hello matt, thanks for the video amd a look at what the truck has to offer, with the change to the esc gives it some more affordability for some of us less able to afford, i believe it's still a very capable truck, thank you!!
Dude I love what you've done with the shop bro balling out of control look at you dude that is so clean brother I ain't even tripping on that truck I'm worried about that truck I'm worried about how clean that setup is you got going on there I mean the truck does look okay
Hey Matt, thanks for the run through. I'm liking all the new stuff. Problem is they came out with all this cool stuff a year ago, and now they are really making it great.... but they already got our money on the first go 'round! Everything is getting released as brushed only... then a year later it's brushless with better shocks, etc. I'm seriously going broke over here!
That’s a good problem to have lol. Look at axial and Traxxas. They’ve released one crawler chassis and haven’t really made any substantial updates. Where as hobby plus dropped the single speed brushed cr18p. And is here now within the span of a year and a half.
I do see the scout in the body but man it immediately reminded me of the vanquish vs410 origin with the q series lights. Seems like it’s solid OTB thank you for sharing you have a beautiful place.
@@brandonupchurch5015 yea I saw that after I ordered my first CR18P Evo. I was hoping for a cheaper version. Maybe this lite system will be available separately?
i like this truck. i need to get one, i was unsatisfied with some of my other hobbyplus rigs, the axles could be so good but i always felt the fms ones were more stout and were smoother and had less torque twist. with the flipped rear that seems to have changed. hopefully we can get some 1.0 wheels to fit nicley and some new stickers and that body will look sweet. maybe fair rc will come out with some modded ones? hmm
@@CRAZYBUILD349 yeah prerelease there was no support for the lite in the app. They basically added it because I told them no1 wants to program with that card 😆
@@2fmrc Well.......to be fair, there are those that keep our phones secured as phones and don't want any rando, out of country company having access to our phone or personal info and stuff. A separate program card would be great, so hopefully it's an option.
Not sure if I'm gonna buy it because there are others that will likely come first, like that new T-hunter, I've always wanted one of that style. But at first chance I'm gonna buy the body!
I tryed running the venom on the v1 lizard and it was worse than a cheap brushed setup. This esc seems to be specifically designed for the venom. The app is nice to set throttle curve. If i get one, it will end up on a radio with expo.
I got the T Hunter version a couple of days ago and was very disappointed by the abrupt transition from slow to very high speed and the motor was running extremely hot. "Solved" by replacing the Lizard lite with a Python, super smooth transition like all my furitek motors and does not run hot after setting to the correct motor type (Venom). Like it, but the rtr package in my opinion is not well tuned in unless you want a jumpy toy car and a motor you can cook (very small) eggs on.
I HAVE THE OG. BROKE THE TRANS IMMEDIATELY AND ITS STILL BROKE. WILL LOOK INTO CHANGING THE POWERTRAIN NOW THAT THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE. MDS EARLY AS I GOT IT WAS SHOCKS, WHEELS (TREAL) WITH THE AXIAL BETTY TIRES AND LOWERED THE BODY. ITS BEEN ON THE BACK BURNER FROM DAY ONE WITH THAT BROKE TRANS AS I MENTIONED. THX ONCE AGAIN MATT FOR THE VIDS . \M/,
Great review. I am not convinced about the light. Who would like to have a program card in 2024 when there is already a bluetooth solution? Not me. I would have bought it of course but not with that ESC.
I like this solution. Because I have no smartphone, so have to use the tablet to change something in the esc. And as Matt said, I normally make the esc adjustments one time for the truck and let it this way. Only exeption, when I change the motor. So I'm fine with this esc. I prefer 3s capability about bluetooth. But that's just me.
Not sure how I feel about the lizard lite. The tuning is what made the lizard pro one of the first dedicated micro ESC’s. But on the other hand, no Bluetooth to fiddle with.
A program card is so outdared, why would you go backwards in technology instead of forward? Using Bluetooth is so much easier to adjust setting on the fly & will soon be the industry standard on ESC's in the near future.
@@DTW-bx2vy supposedly it’s for cost savings (even though the evo pro and fx118 wagon and katana all have Bluetooth for the same price). So it’s furitek trying to upsell us. But sometimes the Bluetooth is kind of unreliable and buggy.
I have a lot to say, but what worries me the most is the new 'lite' version. its like any company that has trim levels of something; they come out with a new trim, so all the other trims get re-aligned, and then the prices change. I already feel furitek is too expensive for the on-going issues with firmware and now i'm reading a lot of hot motor on as low as 50% drag break. Might as well just change to worm gears and remove all the rest of the configs and just have them built in at standard. The flipped driveshafts... finally but how is there still so much torque twist. my fms power wagon doesn't do this and its one of the original batches.
As I said before, you can completly stop the torque twist putting 600ct oil in the shocks, like I did with the evo pro. Than adding some havier wheels, to get them on the ground quick enough and you are fine.
@@JanSonnemann so heres what I interpret... hp decided to take the advice of the community and build it with the cross rotation driveshafts. so did they bother to test? and if they did, and they still saw the twist, its like they went 'oh well, good enough, the community is getting what they want', and moved forward with it. so now, we're still having to fix the issue that didn't go away, it just switched sides. if you're okay with it, that's you. i'm not as i demand more value for my money.
I'm not a fan of the bluethooth system that forces you to use a smartphone to set your furitek ESC. Personal choice... That's why i prefer the Moforc ESC, which can be set via a usb cable and a computer. This new programing card could have been a good idea, but what a poor setting range !
See I absolutely hate the escs I have to connect to my pc! Such a pain lol. My mofo esc never would even connect. Mentioned it several times in a “mofo” chat and never got a response about why so I tossed it 😆
@@2fmrc Maybe i have a part of the answer. I also had the same issue, though i used a brand new USB-C cable, no connexion ! The PC and the ESC finally began to chat when i replaced this cable by another, from another supplier. Still don't understand what is the tech difference between both. And now, the moforc system works great.😊
@@vdel9036 i actually tried probably 15 cords with it lol. I’ve had the same problem with a 1/10 esc before and it was the cord. No luck with this one though. I went through the entire house trying cords 😆
That card looks pointless. The tx can do pretty much the same thing via dips. Just another way for Furitek to add price on their already very expensive stuff. They're definitely the BMW of the small scale electronics. The app & foc are the main reason I still fork out the money for Furitek stuff & even if I liked the idea of carrying around a card, I'd no doubt lose it & the replacement probably isn't cheap.
Well the dips don’t actually work with the Furitek system so I guess it does at least replace their functions. I’m not much of a fan either though. Already not real sure where my program card is 😆
@@2fmrc Haha, best get your glue gun out & stick it inside the body. Do the dips not work on any Furitek stuff? Bit strange using that tx if they don't actually do anything
