  • How and when to use the French indefinite articles UN UNE DES. The rules are easy, un is used before a masculine singular noun, une is used before a feminine singular noun and des is used before both masculine and feminine plural.
    Un an Une mean a, an. Des means some, any.

    It's good to always come back to these basics... Merci Dylane 😊.
    For some reason, for me, I find that learning nouns with the articles le/la helps me memorise better than un/une, with l' I look up the word in the dictionary to know it's gender, dunno if it's just me...

    • @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
      @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane  2 года назад +1

      Aurora, I totally understand for le la because of the different sounds, un une sound pretty much the same. You are probably more of a "ear learner". like I always say, you are the one studying so make up your own rules and do what works best for you 😉

    I am totally excited that I am learning French at home from Dylane Moreau! She is totally dedicated to teach French. I examined several options on Amazon and I am delighted I accidentally found her courses! Thank you Dylane for putting a genuine effort in teaching. Job well done! I would love to know when the vocabulary and expression courses are published. I am old fashioned so I all your courses as printed books, and Amazon does a great job on getting to me! I am impressed By your courses but I am a slow learner! Thank you!

    Great job, Dylane! You said i can also link (liaison) the two words in " Une orange". From lesson 9 (Liaison) you taught me that liaison happens when a word ends with a consonant and it's followed by another word starting with a vowel". Does this rule apply to "Une orange"? if yes, "e" and "o" are both vowels. Kindly guide me through. Thank you.

    Thank you very much Dylane. I like the pace of the two lessons so far. Today I saw this phrase on tv "il nous reste les mots" I translated it in my head and but later found out that I was way off.
    Based on the translation the pronoun 'il' could be removed and that does not change the translation/meaning. Would you please tell me why the pronoun 'il' is there though it may not be necessary.
    Thank you very much.

    • @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
      @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane  2 года назад +1

      I am not too sure to understand your question. I don't really see this sentence without the IL in front, it wouldn't make sense.
