Check out this classic rock tune by Toto, now in a terrific new arrangement by veteran writer Ralph Ford. The chart has a great groove, and it includes a tasty woodwind/mallet feature. It's perfect for the field or the stands! (2:10)

I played this my junior year that one woodwind soli still haunts me
The perfect sheet music doesn't exi-
the percussion parts are not very good.
You should check out Anthony O’Toole’s transcription of Africa
Coz if they did, they’d do justice to the song ;)
@@aaronbattle8559 drum line is lazy good for elementary beginner bands mebbe
We're playing this in marching band this season
Jon Farmwald same!
Jon Farmwald omg same, we’re learning drill on Monday and I’m so happy

I have loved this for so long and now I get to play it in my marching band
When your high school band can't play this so they end up wasting a perfectly good song
Your HIGH SCHOOL can't play this? My middle school jazz band is playing this for the concert in March
Huh? Why is a JAZZ band playing a MARCHING band song?
@@Francisco-zk9in This is an arrangement for a marching band but I think Honesty Rios meant they were playing the song not this specific arrangement
@@Francisco-zk9in nigga what

Alto sax and mellophone blend good
did this song my first year of colorguard. hardest routine i've ever done but it looked SO GOOD on the field
I am so used to hearing the DCI version with the powerful mellophone part that this honestly sounds weird without it.
Playing this for our parade tune this year!
Playing it this year !!!
My marching band is playing this and I sing it with them
My middle school band is playing this. Lead trumpet playing third part. I think third part sounds better tbh but the lead trumpet part is SUPER fun to play. Playing third in the parade tho
excelente
I wonder why I received an email saying I'm to play clarinet for this piece
Hey so I bought a clarinet; can whoever emailed me send me a .pdf of the sheet music so I can practice? It's been 13 years since I played, but with time I think I can learn this.
Big oof
Laylithe Lmao you just randomly bought a clarinet
So nobody has noticed the issue with the snare part?? It totally doesn’t repeat three times like the rest of the ensemble.
Synth is going to be so much fun😁😁😁😁
I'm going to BEG my band teacher to let us play this 4 marching band next year!!!😬😬😬😬😬🙏🙏🙏
Brooke Potato we’re playing it right now, it’s really fun!
What a fucking meme master. Ralph Ford is amazing for arranging this.
The horns tho
it even sounds like music from the continent
Its a bit over repetitive at the beginning, but it's still a great piece :)
The Commandblockuser I agree
Because that's how the song goes
There are different versions the actual song is good video is weird though
I’m a freshman flute and we’re playing this for pep band and I’m so scared
I know you can do it, Simple!
same! I'm a clarinet
Hannah Andersen I’m an eighth grade sax/clarinet player, and I play alto with the high school pep band.. this is one of their favorites, and (as one of the best players in the jh band) I CANNOT play the sax thing in the middle... just keep practicing! We got this!!
I’m playing it for Jazz band
I'd like it better if it did more trading off what instrument plays what, keeping it changing up as it goes. It could even work with some instruments cutting out and stuff.
I know the possibilities are limited in marching band settings, since you don't have a lot of instruments that can take the melody and still be heard. But this just wound up sounding very boring to me.
Not arranged the best, but oh well. Closest they could probably get.
Crap, 2017 Marching Band season we did a “Back to the 80s” theme, we did this song, we also Rickrolled people
I’m in 8th and we can play this song
Taylor Owens I’m in sixth and we can play this song lol
@@nataliamenger13 I sooooo doubt that ngl
