I remember playing this way back in seventh grade. I was a trumpet and played the solo. It was my very first solo ever. Brings back memories now looking back on it.
Me too! I’m also a trumpet player, it was also my first solo. Currently missing the good days.
I’m in 7th grade, I’m not a trumpet player, but I kinda get a solo I think? Idk, I’m a flute player
Haha same. I miss those days. Everything was so simple. I’m in 10th grade now and play the trombone.
I had that small Soli on Snare/Timpani but the Timpani player was so soft it was basically a Solo.
SAME but I didn’t have solo
I’m playing this for a concert soon, love the clarinet part
Edit: I came back to wish everyone in the comment section good luck with their concerts!! (2022)
me too, probably cause i play it🤧
I do too im trying to find a sample of it to make a beat lmao
@@wtfchewy i have sheet music if that's what you're asking???
@@bari4079 no I have it as well im just have to write it in to fit well with this instrument.
@@wtfchewy oh, ok!

I played it for a concert, I play flute too, it's actually pretty fun for some reason but I hope you do good lol
Me too beginning band baritone
I'm playing this for orchestra 1st violin
Omg same but RIGHT NOW
Honestly, this song has remained one of my favorites. I play flute, and being able to play most of the song and some of my favorite parts keeps it in my top 10 or so band songs. I remember this song being really hard to learn to play fast, but it was really fun to learn!
Tbh currently the tempest if my top song lmaooo but all the songs I’ve played are still really fun and good
i play clarinet bass clariner flute and pretty much whatever else and i love playing this song i pkayed it for the first time jn fifth grade
@@holliechan1063 playing the tempest for a concert in 3 days and I love it I play clarinet
I played this song at my band's winter concert. I'm a percussionist, and I confess that when I received the sheet music for this song, I was stunned. Although! This song has become my favorite.
Played this last year and it was amazing. Any percussion players🥱
I played snare on this, u?

Wow i wish you are in my band cuz our trombone is BAD
Loved playing this as a kid! Can still hear the clarinet parts I played. :)
Love this song!! I am doing this in a concert soon. I play the flute. Pretty scared to be only flutes and clarinet in one part. The whole crowd is going to here us!! Well wish me luck!!! 10/17/22
lol I’m a horn player and we have two “solos”
I say that because altos play as well but no one hears them
same!
@shulmpino5505 that's so true alto always plays with horn and we can NEVER hear them
How was it since this comment is a year old now

Our director gave me a solo at the start with the clarinets. 😮💨🤚
I played this in 7th grade. I was a solo snare. This piece was tough but I pulled through. Good luck to everyone who has to play this soon!
Im playing this as snare too. Our band only has 5 percussionists
@@ok-oo8wo only 5 percussionists is wild, we have like 20+
I’m a tenor sax and am playing this right now I love it!!!
Playing this for a concert as a bass clarinet player! love the song(also playing arabian dances aswell as black forest overture)
Arabian dances is fun on a trumpet
Listened to this for the first time! This definitely does feel like a Dark Adventure. I put in the story as I listened
whoa nostalgia! I played this a few years ago in seventh grade and it was one of my favorites to play on my trumpet, especially the solo (without realizing it was a solo so when i got my first explicitly stated solo the next year i was terrified lol), but over time i had forgotten this piece even existed! So when it randomly showed up in my recommended i was just hit with a huge wave of nostalgia.
Snare part goes insane
I’m playing that part
FAXXX
@@Spaderio I'm playing that part too
I do alto sax, and this is really cool. I love the story behind it, and the beats. Very well made.
Sameee
I’m a trombone player and I recommended this song to my band teacher and when I walked in the next morning I seen that he was passing out the sheet music for dark adventure bust song that I’ve ever played same thing with G-Force Five!
Fellow trombone player
fellow tromboner
Om finally I swear all the comments be clarinets 💀
I’m gonna play this soon! Percussion seems pretty hard but it sounds like fun!

I'm learning this too. I thought we'd play this in like .. November but I was told we were playing it in a Christmas concert. So I guess December? Meh, I really like the song
Yiss! I'm on snare for this!
Yes indeed😃
I played this in 7th grade! I was the clarinet and i absolutely love this song for some reason it gives me a Halloween vibe?
I’m playing it right now in 7th. I think it is an October season song for sure.

I'm so excited to play this piece, haha
I'm a percussionist, but I love the flute + clarinet parts, they're so pretty :)
Good God this was my favorite song when I played this in middle school.
One of my favorite pieces to play during class
my advanced band actually met Ralph ford (the composer of the piece) last year!
How was he like?
I came from this in 5th grade to playing the chaminade flute concerto as the soloist in my band senior year. This was one of my favorites my first year of music, I miss being a kid...
We're learning this in band
Same
playing this for a festival coming up in February of 2024. really loving the piece 🫶🏻
im an oboe player in seventh and this is one of my fav songs, so fun to learn
horn player in 7th here, I agree this is one of my favorites but our solo on measures 42-50 (1:18) is extremely hard to learn
I got this music this week, and it gives me nostalgia for some reason…
I'm a trombone player in my highchool band and this is stuck in my head
guapo Lida la canción
I play trumpet for my concert and I love this song
Love the oboe part!!
I remember playing this song in seventh grade. I played clarinet and I loved all the low notes! It was so fun. I'm 24 years old now and haven't touched a clarinet in almost ten years, but I still listen to this sometimes. The nostalgia is insane. :')
everyone talkingg about clarinet: jdkcjgjrdjc
me: hi me bassoon. instrument unimportant!!
I play clarinet and tenor sax but I really want to play bassoon like so badly
Lara Ferguson at first i played clarinet for abt a year and then they switched me over to bassoon. its really really fun!!
Faye that’s good I just really want to play it but my school doesn’t supply bassoons and my parents are saving up for a tuba for my brother so yeah I can’t play it
Lara Ferguson aweee :(( i really hope you get to someday
Faye Thank you!!! Good luck for the future with your music
I have a band concert on the May 20th and we’re playing this song. This is my favorite song that we have played. I wasn’t able to play our Christmas concert because I was going on a trip to see my family, but I’m very excited to play this song at our Spring Concert! ( I play the Trombone:} )
Flute solo is the best
Change my mind...
Percussion
Percussion always sounds cool that's unfair
French horn
I remember playing this fall of covid year, 8th grade for me. It was my first time as trumpet section lead and we loved it. Even though it was a reintroduction song we still played it until the end of the year from time to time. I miss band so much man 😢

I remember playing xylophone and woodblock for this part back in eighth grade, it was a struggle to nail down that woodblock part but I still love playing the xylophone part
This is the only song I can recall by heart from Middle School Band. Percussionist, by the way.

im doing this song on my band concert this week, wish me luck
where my French horns at 😍
had to play this last year for a concert, was so fun
Same! What school?
Ugh unfortunately French horn isn't very loud if you are casually playing so all the trumpets and saxophones drown us out 😭
French horns is where its at
@@rozella1096 I’m learning this piece rn and playing as loud as I really can while still sounding good, my problem with these piece is the horns have two solos and it’s really stressful for our small horn section of 4 people, and we really have no idea how to play them, im the only one who really practices them lol
I'm playing this in 6th grade band and I'm excited!
Currently, I am playing this for a Honor Band concert. I play the oboe.
I'm doing this for concert band! Flute here

I played this in 5th grade band and I was a French horn. I remember being so excited to have a two page song already in the 1st year as a band
I remember playing this for 7th grade
Recently played this at a competition, and will again very soon! (If you’re wondering we got 3rd place!) I play alto sax, and I’m in beginning band (cadet if you wanna get fancy). And first looking at this piece was TERRIFYING! But now it’s one of my favorite pieces we’ve ever played!
So, I’m in 7th grade and everyone in my class is bad so they moved me to the 8th grade class and they were playing this song. And when I started playing it, it was literally impossible to not just straight up dance. 😂
How can you even dance to that?
i'm playing it in 6th grade
