    Ball players like Soto, Harper and ARod are rare cases because such players hardly ever become FAs in their mid-20's. BTW all 3 are Boras clients.

    What business decision??? 🤣😂. He's not Ohtani! Lord.

    • @manuelmacario193

      He doesn't need to be Ohtani, in the end he will end up with better numbers than Ohtani.

      @manuelmacario193 To justify getting that amount, yes, he needs to be Ohtani. 😂. Ohtani is the only player in MLB who makes his team millions! Soto will not. He's just a great hitter, that's it.

    This contract was a massive mistake

      His bat alone is where 99% of his value comes from anyway. That's been true every season of his career. No one going after him was worried about his defense. Him getting off the field probably makes him more valuable, not less.

      It was a HUGE and MASSIVE MISTAKE. Soto is a mediocre outfielder, he is not worth 765 million. The Mets are going to regret this signing for ever

    • @BrianBoudreau-y5b
      @BrianBoudreau-y5b Месяц назад

      His projected WAR is HIGHER as a DH. Imagine that. DH or OF, he is an elite hitter that is worth a lot of money coming off of his age 25 season. It also makes no sense that he will “need” to be a DH in a few years. At age 28? He is basically an average outfielder, people just think he is a poor outfielder because his bat is stratospheres above his glove. He also has an excellent arm.

    Saying that his stats at citi field had anything to do with his decision is laughable. He probably wanted to be the highest paid player in baseball and he will be for quite some time more than likely. Just admit it, nothing to be ashamed of

    Ive never heard the word FAMILY used so much in signing an athlete 🤔

  • @Marcmta
    @Marcmta Месяц назад

    funny they call him super agent. He's being inflating prices for years with little no competition. All what Boras really wanted was to beat Ohtani's deal. Saying the market dictated the price, I doubt it. Ohtani is literally two players in one with global outreach. $51m per year is going to become a burden for mets, and ultimately the consumer will pay these increases

    The Mets deal is worth more money, this narrative that the Yankees deal was 5 million less shows that these guys haven’t done their homework. Juan can make a lot more than 5 million dollars more with the Mets deal

    • @Platerpus7
      @Platerpus7 Месяц назад

      It’s 5 million more a year for the first 5 years. Then like 10 million more a year for the last 10. Not to mention a 75 million dollar signing bonus

    • @jayalmo8831
      @jayalmo8831 Месяц назад

      @Platerpus7- No he has an opt out clause in his 5th year. He’s already getting paid 51 mil a year so if he opts in after his 5th year he will get paid an extra 5 million on top of his 51 mil (56 mil) for the remaining 10 years of the deal
