I think my favorite part about the spirits peeking around the chair is with Marley being positioned in front of the window leading up to that I thought they were going to come through the window so them popping up around Scrooge was unexpected in a way that fit perfectly with their vibe and the playful spookiness of it

holy cow!! the balance between silly expressions fit for the vibe and the absolute horror of This Is The Ghost of A Man Died Unresolved is. impeccable. the synchronization with the chain at the beginning is?? perfect?? and just. this is so cool!!! ah!!

I LOVE the three spirits peeking around the chair, captured their vibe really well I like the balance between drawing similarities with the actual costumes and choreo of the show while also having creative freedom, like the chains wrapping around the chair and pulling Scrooge in at the time that Marley had grabbed Scrooge’s shoulder in the stage show
I have 3 things: 1) I LOVE this animatic, the character designs are spot on. 2) It may be me but the way the narration is sung lowkey reminds me of Great Comet. 3) Again, it might be me, but there’s something very somber about the way Scrooge says “Fine! You’re real what do I care?” To me it gives off the vibe that Scrooge knows very well why Marley here, but is much to prideful and arrogant to admit it.
Glad you enjoyed the animatic and!!! I dont know much abt the great comet (only one(1) song, dust and ashes) But I do love sung narration a lot so I might check it out! :D And yeah maybe he's in denial a bit
the way i yelled when i saw there was an animatic of my favourite song from the musical AND then it absolutely slaps????? hell yeah. i enjoyed this so much. marley's a perfect blend of the horrifying ramifications of being tortured for all eternity and being a silly goose, and you're doing god's work by keeping the mullet. plus past and present being delighted to be there vs future being some manner of creature is an inspired choice
