This is so relatable. I had a large, mixed-breed dog that could smell the Vet from 29 miles, and he had to be carried to the car, inside the Vet's office, and resisted the entire time. He was about 75 lbs.Join the crowd. Lol.
My dog LOVED going to the vet. He loved visiting all is girlfriends who worked there and he adored the doctor. He would run to car and get all excited when he saw the building a block away. Then he would run as fast as he could to the door. He didn't care a bit about the shots.
Actually I wish Vets could take care of humans too! Most Vets are very kind, caring and compassionate! When I have an MD that treats me poorly, I tell him/ her "Did you know it is harder to get into Vet school than to get into Medical school?" They have to have a larger knowledge base! What works for a dog, doesn't work for a car, or a bird ,or a horse or a cow!
I know the feeling. Although usually for me is because I need drugged up with numbing agents, fucking hate needles. Ain't got nobody to blame for it but myself though.

Bulldogs are generally born caesarean. I had a bulldog when it was time for her 2nd litter. We took her to vet, parked at side of building. When I opened the car door, she jumped out, ran around side of building, went past the front desk and back to surgery. I just sat down. The waiting room was full. The other patients were a little huffy and ask me where she was going. When I told them, they relaxed ohhhh.
My Labrador loved the vets. Was given treats. Vet called another dog in & she started crying. Receptionist asked if she was OK. She was crying cos he didn't call her. Absolutely loved the vets
Aw! One time I picked up my Beauty Cat and she was trembling so I said "Why are you trembling, you love the vet!" and the sweet tech sprayed a towel with a calming solution and that settled her right down.
It`s so funny. I`ve seen many an owner drag their dogs into the Vet`s as if they are ornaments, since there is no movements in the animals limbs.They are, all four of them, stuck in the "resist" position.
Normally my dog, Bonnie, loved everyone she met but at the vet's her teeth would chatter like crazy. I always felt sorry for her. She never bit any of the vets and was always happy to get out of the office afterwards. I miss my little Bonnie.

I knew a guy that had a female dog who loved the vet, every time I went with him because my ex-wife was the veterinary and he was my coworker, I thought the dog loved my ex-wife, in the end, in the vet was the only place the dog was free of mistreatment, yeah we found out the dog suffered violence from the guy at home, all kind of violence. Pay attention to a dog who's not afraid of vet, NORMALLY isn't a good sign.
My family had a Samoyed. You could wrap a pill in chicken, beef, cheese, didn't matter. She would bite away the food and literally "ptooey" the pill out on the floor in under a second. It was like watching a buzz saw.
Imagine a doctor's waiting room had grifitti like: *'ABANDON HOPE ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE.'* and you'll understand why animals who 'see' with their noses don't like the vet.

My dog is built different cuz when its time to go to vet he stands on two feet and literally jumps with excitement.. Reason the vet has female dog and my doggo usually is strict n discipline but just melts in front of her😂😂😂😂
