My childhood best friend, Mike, raced motocross and in one race in Maine (I think) the kid in front of him crashed hard at the bottom of a high jump and wasn't moving, Mike made the split second decision, MID-AIR to ditch his bike so he wouldn't kill the kid, instead of landing on him directly with the bike, he threw it so only he landed on the kid. Mike shattered his femur and wasn't right for nearly a year, but he saved the other kids life. This was in the 90's so I doubt there's video.

That corn dust isn’t no joke. That happened where I worked one time. Maintenance was using a torch to cut on a grain elevator and that sucker had dust in it, and caught fire. Luckily enough, the maintenance man lost his eye brows instead of his life.
Any grain dust. Remember the DeBruce Elevator explosion in Wichita, KS, about 25 years ago now. That one hurled a large chunk of concrete (that was nearly a ton if memory serves) over a mile to hit a building at Cessna Aircraft where my dad was working. I heard the explosion at my house nearly 20 miles away. Caused by a welder working on a conveyor assembly I think.

Most skydivers have an auto release that opens the chute at a certain altitude, if you're falling too fast.
