My Belgian Schippreke would sleep on top of the snow & let it cover him up after he dug himself a nest on the frozen ground. He had an outdoor shelter with blankets, cedar sawdust shaving & a bed of hay to sleep on..I even put a curtain made of a worn out bed sheet to block the wind & help keep his body warmth in the doghouse. He preferred the snow.
I loved especially liked the one where the dog carried the sled up the hill by himself, then hopped on it to slide down the hill again. Pretty smart! They were all adorable tho.
Earlier in the video, when the startled dog started sliding down the lawn and just kept going all the way to the bottom, I thought, “I bet he spends the rest of the day doing that.” I thought of him again when I saw the dog with the sled.
In Michigan we had a heavy snow fall, when I went out to feed the dogs, I couldn't see them anywhere so naturally I call out, two large snow drifts stood up, made a huge cloud of falling snow, and there stood two beautiful St Bernard's. They were just having the time of their lives running around in three feet of fresh fallen snow.
Huskies love the snow. Mine 2 are Giant Canadian Husky and Timber Wolf crosses. Brothers. They have insulated dog houses. We live in Alberta, Canada, and they use them in the summer to stay cool sometimes, but other than that, they think the purpose of houses is to stand on top of them and howl their nightly duets to the local wolves. During the winter, in a snowfall, they curl up and let the snow cover them. I've never seen them sleep in the dog houses when it's snowing.
What, your dogs are part wolf?! How the heck did that happen?! They must be BEAUTIFUL, but I wouldn’t want to go near them! I would be scared to get attacked!
@@laurakruk4692 We've had several over the last 28 years. (We have two wolf packs that sometimes overlap our property ((East of the Rockies in Alberta)). They are wonderful pets and guardians. Love kids and stand against anyone trying to hurt their family. They are standoffish with strangers and we need to introduce them, but after that, they'll accept you as friends of ours and you have nothing to worry about. But heaven help the stranger/intruder coming on our land they don't know. They don't attack. They corner said person and will not let them move until myself or whoever's home goes out. If no one's home, that person waits till someone is.
These videos reminded me of our first winter in Eastern TN after we moved from the Phoenix, AZ area. We lived on a ridge near Oak Ridge, TN. Late January of '95 we got a really bad snow storm, something fairly unusual in this neck of the woods. Knoxville officially got over 14 inches of snow. We got close to three feet. A couple of months before the snow storm we had gotten what looked like a German Shepard mix from the local shelter. He was a cute little thing, we also had a rather large Golden Retriever. After all the snow had fallen, the dogs when outside. The Golden Retriever was having fun in the snow and was plowing through it like an ice breaker the pup was following close behind and you see him periodically pop up out of the trench that the retriever was making. Every winter after that, every time he saw even two flakes of snow he would come get me in the hopes that I could make it snow more. (Apparently, he thought I was in charge of the weather.)
My dog passed away 2 months ago almost made it to 14 after being diabetic for almost 7 years .. he loved the snow so much. He was so happy to roll around in it. Rest in peace Cocoa!
I was diagnosed with diabetes like 20+ yrs ago, on both sides of my family, so funny 2 my dogs, chi and a chi pom mix, Freddy and Teddy both had diabetes. Never could understand that Dog insulin and human insulin is like 99% identical and dogs insulin is a lot cheaper. They knew when they needed a shot or had to get some sugar. They were my twin jelly bellies. One night I did not have my glasses on to get insulin for myself and instead used the dogs insulin. WHen I realized what I did I called the hospital and explained what I did and the buggers said should be no problem, then asked me ? was I very thirsty, did i have diarreah, was i able to lick my balls. I said WTH and then you heard people LOL as I was on speaker phone Oh to this day the doctor still LOL when he see me. Tho your fur babies are up at the Bridge, You will see them when it is your time. Pax+
LUV the dog tht carried the plastic toboggan up the hill so "he" could ride it back down the hill!! & Folks.. Word of WARNING.. DON'T swing ur dogs & cats etc. by their limbs (arms/legs or tail) this practice CAN SEVERELY HARM ur animals!! The limbs & tail could separate from their sockets & cripple ur critter!!!
@tajhayes7841 the sledding Malinios reminded me of my Malinios lol. I also agree with you 10,000% on a pets front legs. As a former vet asst and currently a rescue rehabber, I got nauseous when I saw that. The amount of irreversible damage that can be done is really awful.
They are all so precious!! I love the snowman outfit on the little white doggy. I love the little ones jumping through the deep snow bouncing their way to the door in their little sweaters! They are ALL my favs lol
Our 95-pound 9-month-old female Great Pyrenees just experienced her first snow of 3-5 inches, and we could barely get her to come inside to eat. Now she is whining because it is already all melting away. LOL!
This TOTALLY sounds like my sister’s Sable GSD! When her and I take him out to play in the winter, and there’s snow on the ground (the more snow the better) he goes ABSOLUTELY NUTS! He NEVER wants to go back home!
This video is an absolute delight to watch! 🐶 It's like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day, instantly lifting my mood with its contagious joy and laughter. The adorable antics of these furry friends are simply irresistible, and I can't help but smile from ear to ear while watching them play. It's heartwarming to see the genuine happiness and love radiating from each clip, reminding us of the special bond between dogs and humans. This compilation is a wonderful reminder to appreciate the simple moments and find happiness in the little things. Kudos to the creators for curating such a heartwarming and uplifting video. It's definitely one that I'll be watching again and again whenever I need a dose of positivity!
Love to see all the Huskies finally get to be in their happy place of cold and snow. I think it's cruel to own them in the tropics. Selfish even. It's sweltering in Hawai'i in the summer and I always feel so bad for them. It would be like me taking my Nina to Alaska and letting her tiny Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound 10lbs freeze in a snowbank. Sure there's AC and Puffr Jackets but coping isn't living your best life. Just sayin...and clearly Iris wants a fireplace and cozy fire to come in to.
Just wrote something similar without having read your comment first. I also think that those people are very stupid and selfish, and it should be punishable to have these dogs in hot climates. There are also British videos, where total idiots keep them INSIDE as if they’re couch pets, and when they howl and go berserk, because they’re severely unhappy and must be outside, then the idiot owner films it and makes a joke of his or her “grumpy husky that is annoyed”, or something. Absolutely disgusting, and the world is full of very unintelligent and evil people that only thinks of themselves and of how to make money on eg youtube videos of traumatized huskies.
My dog was born in winter so doing her business was always on a pile of snow. When spring came, she refused to go to the bathroom unless she found a pile of snow to go on. It was a very frustrating few weeks once the snow was gone. Every year after that, when it would be snowing, she would go crazy wanting to be outside all the time. She was a Irish setter German shepherd mix
I was living in Florida and my boyfriend was a truck driver and he had to go to North Carolina and he always took our Pitbull and one time it snowed and he was like wow what's happening. I still have the video of him playing in the snow. 😃😂
My pit bull lives for the snow. 9 months out of the year she's just mildly ok with going for hikes, etc. Come the snow...and I can't get her in. She can spend hours doing Zoomies.

The dogs with the snowman reminded me of Frosty the Crackman in the hood.....Frosty the Crackman was a fairytale they say but he came to life one winters day and the children are here to say, there must have been some magic in that old crack pipe they found, for when they placed it in his mouth he began to dance around. Oh Frost the Crackman now is merrily on his way with a little crack here an a little crack there Frosty is off to play! :-)
I love how every Husky refuses to leave the snow. All they care about is fields of snow.
That dog shoveling snow was so cool. ❤
Dogs are the best. The greatest gift ever.
Yes. And ever ever ever and EVER....
Yes … they made a big positive difference in my life .. just love the wagging tails and their smiles which are in their eyes and their mouth
"Man's best friend"
Absolutely!
dog is love
The dog carrying its own sled up the hill then zooming down was the best!
Yep!! Dogs are super smart!! 😍 Well, actually ALL animals are smarter than most humans I have met lol
That dog carrying his sled was priceless loved it
Starts 5:39. Aims the sledge correctly too.
Agreed🐶@@SueBeaWho
@@SueBeaWho Can’t argue with that.
Animals are often times smarter than we give them credit for.

It's to bad you don't have any video of that. It would be an amazing video. I can see it in my head. Stay safe and healthy.
I ❤❤❤ St Bernards! I've never owned one, but every one that I met was the sweetest! 🥰
A sight to behold! I just saw them through the eyes of imagination! Enjoy them for many years to come!
Yes, Bernhardiner loves snow so much. In my childhood we put our in front of our sledge. This was hilarious.😂
Yeah I feel you on this comment. I'm in Detroit and I have 2 Rottweilers, and this recent snow I couldn't see either one of them.

All the huskies are like ‘AT LAST! I’m at a comfortable temperature’
I think huskies originate from snowy regions, thus their strong yin to frolic in the snow. A snowy plain to a husky is the summer beach to a human.
The tobogganing dog carrying his toboggan up the hill so it could slide down was fascinating.
The human sled for the puppy, too great😂😂
I really loved that last little guy. I was not expecting that. He was so cute.
Perfect weather for huskies.
"Snow Zoomies" are the best! 😁
Last year I got to capture my dog's first snow. Lil guy immediately started sprinting everywhere and burrowing in the snow.
So awesome. Dogs bring us so much joy and love ❤
I love the Huskies!! Mine is just like that. The colder and snowier the more they like it!
The snowman in the end was the cutest snowman 😍😍
A real joy to watch. Thank you. 🇬🇧🏴
I just saw aspects of every dog I've ever had. The little Dachshund hiding in his blanket is my current dy. He won't even go out when it's raining.😂
Mine too...I've brought a 'extreme weather coat' for him...waste of money that was..😂

Amazing how Dogs totally enjoy the snow.
Well, maybe not all of them🤔. I had Chihuahuas. Snow, no thank you😱!

I'm having a laughing attack and now I can't breathe thank you
