    Great vid. I am wondering if I have a faulty joystick... my chair keeps stopping and it either reads joystick error or low battery. I checked the battery and it is full.

      How old is your battery? I have to replace mine about every year to 2 years depending on how much you use the chair and if you were letting the battery drain enough before recharging it in my experience

      @Denasewell had an idea. Batteries can be tricky. If you keep the charger plugged in after it has been fully charged it can continue to charge which will overcharge the batteries and cause the health and life expectancy of that batteries to diminish. It may show your battery as fully charged but how long does it take the battery to drain? If it drains quickly, you probably need a new battery. If not the battery, give us a call at 800-677-6293 and we can ask more questions and possibly be able to get a resolution for you.

      @@Marcsmobility these chairs don’t have overcharge protection? It’s been a while since I’ve had to unplug something to avoid damaging the battery. I was able to leave it unplugged a couple days and the battery remains full. This drain will happen almost immediately it goes from full to not being able to move then we turn it on and off a couple times and the battery begins to read at almost dead.

      Not necessarily overcharge but it seems as if keeping it plugged in creates a bad memory in the battery. We see this all the time. If the battery doesn't get discharged (down to the yellow/red light) and recharged fully on a regular basis (especially for the first 5-10 charging cycles) this will happen. After so long, the battery wont hold the charge for long and will loose charge quickly. This is what you are experiencing now.

      @@Marcsmobility guess I will try that I changed the batteries and it’s been all good but I’ve been leaving it plugged in again lol. The permobil charger has all sort of light indicators I’m not sure if it is actually still charging when it hits full or goes to a float sort of mode. Seems (and costs enough) that it should have these sort of features.

    After recalibration will the speed return to factory settings ? My C500 was set to 5 mph originally but it was capable of 7.5 mph in specs.

      Depending on what country you are in, a local mobility store should have a computer they would be able to connect and change the settings for you.

    My chair has the battery meter moving as when its in charging mode but when I try and use the joystick I get an error. The chair is not plugged in, how do you reset the chair back to factory?

    What happens when the joystick says ''bad cable''... is the joystick bad? can I just replace the cable?? is my chair safe with this error message?
