    Very good informative video!👍 Thank you!🙂 I think it is worth moving the cappack further away from the esc heat sink. Electrolytic capacitors do not like heat - they will dry out and make a short circuit. Even if there is no short circuit, moving them away from the heat source will extend their life.

    Simply wrap some ptfe plumbers tape around the outside of the liner in 2 or 3 places along the liner, depending on liner length. Wrap enough tape to make the liner a nice fit when slid in to the brass stuffing tube, been doing this for years without any problems with the liner moving at all. Also easy to get the liner out as well if you need to.

    • @IRONCLADRC

      @@IRONCLADRC Yes over wrap the tape so that the tape compresses when you slide the liner into the stuffing tube. If its still a bit loose wrap a bit more tape until you get a nice firm slide in fit.

    Good info B! A little trick for the UL-19 that looks like it would work on the SW. Had some water coming in past the o-rings of the hatch screws. I put "vacuum caps" on the threaded nipples of the nuts inside the boat. OBX north end here! Think it would work on all Proboats that use that type of hatch screw / nut system.

    For the motor & ESC wiring "problem", I'm just wondering why you didn't just shorten the length of the wires on both?

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  Год назад

      I've had bad experiences with shortening motor wires, but I guess you could do that if you wanted to.

    • @ninthislandrc
      @ninthislandrc Год назад

      @@IRONCLADRC Honestly, you're the first person I've ever heard say that. Everyone else, myself included, had had 'better' experiences when shortening the wires. For one thing, shortening the distance between ESC & motor means less resistance, which equals lower temps.
      Only thing I can think of that could cause problems would be poor soldering job (which I've been guilty of a few times), low-quality solder, not properly cleaning (ie. using flux) the wires & soldering tip before soldering, or improperly separating the wires. There are a few other things that could cause problems, but my brain isn't working properly today...at least, not yet...due to not enough sleep last night. 🤙🏼

    The 8mm tubing in the description fits nicely on the stock nipples? I understand more water volume, but if you won't have larger openings in the nipples the extra volume doesn't matter. So it's a mandatory job to drill out the nippes like you said if using larger cooling tubing?

    Hey big b I need your expertise. I put the ose 150 in my sonic wake with stock motor and a CNC 4519 prop that's been sharpened and balanced and polished. Basically the inside of the boat looks just like yours. I tried to copy you. But on my first run I can only get 27mph. I've swapped the motor wires around and nothing changed. I'm using 2- 3s 5200mah zee batteries. And have the tfl stinger. Upgraded cooling just as you did. What am I missing. Can you give me something to try. Thanks bgfl

      Yea you should be hitting mid 50"s easy with that set up. Try throttle reverse, then re start the rx/tx to normal throttle, also check dual rates, do a rx/tx re-calibration. Also try changing the esc motor wires, try different configurations.

      Hey big b. I've tried all you recommended and even changed it back to the stock transmitter. Nothing helped. At this point I'm guessing that I damaged the motor. When I first got it I accidently ran it with the rudder cover on. So I'm looking to put a new motor in using the ose 150esc, can you recommend a good motor.
