    There you go again coming up with an answer for something that just happened to me! My green V1 has had a battery burn inside which made the plastic brittle, a collision with another boat split open another battery after the cover was ripped off and it was 80% under water and the rudder was ripped off after a drastic high speed tumble. The boat is repaired again but I see the motor alignment has shifted, now I have my cure. Thank you.

    Good tip. I had the same issue but I just went to the hardware shop and bought a 50 cent rubber grommet. Either way works good. Thanks for the video. Bg4l

      Hadn’t thought of a grommet from the hardware store.. do you recall what size and has the rubber stood up better to use and heat than say silicone like ironclad used? Thanks!

    Hello. I just have a question. I bought my first Proboat. The Shockwave 26. Now my question is as follows... which grease should I use for the drive shaft? 🤙🏻

    • @IRONCLADRC

      Proboat Marine grease

    Thanks for the video, this is my first boot, Removed the flexshaft and greased it, got about 1 min into the first pack, the entire rubber grommet is melted, PTFE tube is melted etc. I bought the silicone tubing for the other bushing but I cannot for the life of me find the Teflon liner sizing! Any help would be appreciated!

      Something isn't lined up correctly 🤔

    Not related to this video. I'm curious about the Max5 or the Oxidean 200 ESC, since it doesn't have a timing setting. What is its preset factory timing setting. I wanted to use it on a D Wind motor & was worried about it needing to be on 0⁰

    Great info video bro. Quick question, I’m getting ready to put a dynamite 8s ESC in my SonicWake and I was wondering how the self righting works with the location you are using on yours?

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  4 месяца назад +1

      You'll be better off running the esc where the receiver box is, my boat has a mind of its own when it comes to self-righting with the esc in its current position

      @@IRONCLADRC thanks Big B , that’s what I needed to know. Here is another question, why doesn’t anyone make an 8s Lipo battery? There has been 8s capable chargers available for quite some time now and I would love to run a single battery in this boat

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  4 месяца назад +1

      @norcalrc smc racing will make a custom 8s pack, I've seen a few 8s packs for the air plane/helicopter guys.. other than that I have no idea why the main stream lipo guys don't make a single 8s pack? Your guess is better than mine.

      As far as selfrighting goes, mine doesn’t self right every time with an upgraded esc. Stuck a few 2cm neodymium magnets on the inside of the flood chamber, to counter ballance. The side hull has some metal in it somehow, so it sticks. All in all 60grams or so. Just play with the number of magnets. Self righting now works everytime. The magnets also help when I recover using a small tow line with spaced buys that have magnets on them. Those either snag the rudder or magnet stick to the hull.

    Thanks for the video, Took my brand new only 2 battery's in it today was the 3rd pack and it started making funny noise brought it in and they were smoke coming out of it. it completely melted that rubber gasket thing and also mine has this almost like straw looking piece in the end where the gasket was did yours have that? it melted part of that to not sure that is important or not? yours looks not to have it.
    Thanks for the video new to the Sonic wake v2
    I am still not sure why it got hot for.. but it did.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  4 месяца назад

      Was it greased? Stuffing tube will get hot if it's not greased & or oiled before the run.. if it was greased then the alignment may be off? Hope this helps. BG4L

      @@IRONCLADRC I didn't greese it I thought it would be good from the factory. I guess on these larger boats they need to be removed and greesed after everyday of running.
      I thought I had it fixed but I ran it just s little like you did w.o the prop and the rear piece outside the boat got warm in a few seconds.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  4 месяца назад

      @epoweredrc as long as it's not scorching hot after a few seconds it's okay, warm is normal..

    So I'm new to the RC boating. Been thru drones and bashers. Boat it brand new to me. So I'm having my check and testing. But is it normal for it to whine not happally... And slower speed is not bad. But after revving it it screeches. Is this a comment thing or shut up and go play with your toys. LMAO.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  13 дней назад +1

      No that definitely sounds odd, you may wanna check the Teflon liner make sure it's stationary and not moving or spinning in the stuffing tube.

      @@IRONCLADRC thanks for the options. come to find out the 1-2 mm clearance between gap for shrinkage the drive shaft. It was a tight 1-2 mm. i went with your opinion, 3-4 mm. and BOOM! problem solved. have fun
