I put these bearings in a Bass Pro Shop reel. They don’t make it fly or give it the ability to make pancakes in the morning, but they don’t suck either. Between these and some Reel Snot, it’s almost like it’s not a 90$ reel.
@@jakesmith5377 I’ve tried oiling them and using them dry. There’s not a significant or noticeable difference in casting or performance. In the last few years I usually give them a shot of a dry type silicone lube. Again… I can’t say as I noticed a significant difference in casting or whatever, but I do it with the thought it might make them a little more resistant to water. I tear down all my rigs every winter and typically pop the seals off to clean out the bearings etc. But even under a 20x microscope, it’s not like I’m seeing any wear or dirt or whatever in them. My rigs get wet, so for me the biggest advantage is getting an entire spring/ summer season in without having to worry about rusted or rotted bearings or (basically) maintenance at all until winter.
Hello Henry, The bearings in the video are our Ceramic Hybrid Orange Seal Bearings. Unfortunately, I do not have the bearing listing for your exact reel. My information only lists the Abu Garcia 6500 Blue Yonder. I have enclosed the link below to the kit I show for the 6500. It would be best for you to compare this kit with the bearings from your reel. If you do not have a way to measure your bearings email us at info@bocabeaings.com and will send you a template. Thank you. ~Michael, on behalf of Boca Bearings.

Hey! Try using the bearings without any oil or lube, any oil or lube will slow them down.

Can I use the FR-038C for lexa 400 TW?
Afternoon, this kit # will work with all the Daiwa Lexa 400 Series including the TW. Thanks!
What tool did you use
Are these orange bearings ceramic or ceramic hybrids? Hmm, need to have a look-see at a set to fit ABU 7000 blue yonder...?
