thank you very much for this very educational video!
As i’ve never panned and really want to, but even after watching dozens of prospecting videos, none actually explained how to do it in detail like you did!
So glad you enjoyed it. It's a simple, inexpensive hobby with a low barrier to entry. You don't need any fancy equipment to get started. With Panning, experience is the best teacher, so get out there and have fun!
Agreed. It was fun to watch and I learned a lot.
That's a lot of gold pans!
I have a lot of kids to keep occupied.
only 10 or 12, I probably have (had) that many in my Subaru.. they float off down river, unlike steel pans.
don't use steel wool, its oily.. defeats the purpose..
I think as long as you use an emulsifier like dish soap you'd be okay. Still, you're right. I prefer a good old fashioned piece of sandpaper or scotch-brite pad.
How is steel wool in soapy water oily? I think it'd be fine, bit I prefer a scotch Brite pad.
@@GregoryCissell-v9i steel wool is microsprayed with petroleum oil to keep it from rusting before it gets purchased, the oil gets into the water and coats the plastic pan, the pld guys that taught ME (before plastic pans) used steel pans and if the got slimy or oily or even too rusty, they just threw them in the fire pit on friday night then pull em out on Sunday...
