One important detail you missed in the library ghost's story is that the first honor student's father was a politician who donated LOTS and I mean LOTS of money to the school, so library ghost believed that first honor kid's father was pulling the strings behind the scenes to get first honor kid the #1 spot at class. Edit: The 1st honor student was also never seen studying, so it was a mystery for library ghost as to how 1st honor girl even got perfect grades in the first place.
I bet the kid and her father regrets it now, realizing the scandal created for rigging the grades like that. Surprised this didn't turn into a golden child syndrome case where she pushed her rival off the roof so she have no competition (or she didn't try to expose them)
That info reminds me of the many entitled parent/teacher stories where they consider their kid to be perfect, always giving them the highest scores in everything, even if the kid never actually studies, the kid just automatically gets 100% and A+ scores in everything thanks to their parent who is also their teacher.

Well, to answer your question, in asian countries (mainly china, Japan, Korea to my knowledge), there's an old saying that a place that was once used as a cemetery or if something terrible like a concentration camp happened will be filled with an enormous amount of ying energy. To keep this energy at bay or wipe it out, they would build a school on such place (to counter the ying energy with the yang energies of the students and teachers.) Course, maybe it's because such location would be cheaper to afford.
Not to mention the janitor violently assaults people at night and the principal has a hidden monitoring system. Plus plenty of blood stained objects in the lost and found + a teacher who got a student pregnant.

I am not one to fully believe in this yin/yang thing, but they are right that bringing joy to a place that used to be only for pain actually calm the spirits down. And the students tend to have more humility and the teachers are far calmer. I guess being aware that there's dead people watching over you makes you think twice before you do something evil, haha!

I have the same experience in real life. Back when there is no Quarantine and public pools are open. I bath at the last stall then someone was knocking and calling. At first I thought it was my sister coz she calls me ate (Ah-teh means big sister). After I finish I ask my sis why she kept calling me but lol she never called nor had she ever set foot at the bathroom stalls. Then I heard there is a ghost rumoured at that bathroom stall lol.
FYI, The grandmother ghost is probably derived from the "Hong Kong granny ghost". Google it and you'll probably know its origins. (She first appeared as an urban legend in the late '80s.) As a Korean, I honestly don't know why "Hong Kong" is still in her name.

This is a really traditional japanese horror, and in traditionnal japanese horror, the typical monster is a lanky slender pale female ghost with long black hair. I would've kicked her in the face!
I have the same experience in real life. Back when there is no Quarantine and public pools are open. I bath at the last stall then someone was knocking and calling. At first I thought it was my sister coz she calls me ate (Ah-teh means big sister). After I finish I ask my sis why she kept calling me but lol she never called nor had she ever set foot at the bathroom stalls. Then I heard there is a ghost rumoured at that bathroom stall lol.

FYI, The grandmother ghost is probably derived from the "Hong Kong granny ghost". Google it and you'll probably know its origins. (She first appeared as an urban legend in the late '80s.) As a Korean, I honestly don't know why "Hong Kong" is still in her name.

Most of them are unfortunate victims, but the spider girl was manifested of arachnophobia and the grandma murdered the kids under her care. The rest deserve sympathy.

Haha, I have been waiting for this ~ White Day surely have one of the most unsettling, creepy and sad ghost stories out there.
Just another typical day for us Koreans. Just recently a Medical School college student was found dead floating in the Hangang River in Seoul. It reeks of foul play but the main suspect is a classmate whose relative is rumored to be a chief of police, so he's prolly gonna get away with it.

There are very toxic beauty standards as I’ve heard especially in places such as Korea. I honestly would’ve been friends with Yeon-Sun, she sounded very lonely. If only people would’ve been nicer to a majority of these ghosts, the deaths would’ve never happened
And if I’m honest, Yeon-Sun wasn’t ugly by any stretch of the word. She was a bit heavyset, but not ugly.

I honestly would like to see some coverage on the original White Day ghosts, that is, if they are any different from the remake. I feel like there are a few missing or taken out in the remake, but I might be very wrong on that. Either way, I enjoy learning the backstories of these ghosts. Great video!

Out of all the ghosts the haunted head ghost terrified me the most. Maybe because her form is more unpredictable, fading in and out then sudden jumpscare or the fact that it looks like a floating png.

So in the mobile version the doppelganger ghost is on a timer and if you are not able to defeat it with that timer it chokes itself and you along with it to death just like the story.

This is a really traditional japanese horror, and in traditionnal japanese horror, the typical monster is a lanky slender pale female ghost with long black hair. Plus somewhere in the game, there is something said about the women in the labirynth leading men or some stuff like this I don't really remember
