Sung-A's ending here is pretty heartwarming, and I'd love for it to be canon. Originally she died terrified and alone, thinking nobody cared about her. Then Ji-Min managed to make it so her mother was there, like she was trying so desperately to be years ago.
Anyone else kinda think a neat headcanon would be that the two main protagonists would become friends, and bond over trying to put spirits at peace and supernatural stuff? I dunno, I just think it’d be a cute way to have the characters working together, in a platonic way, and be a neat way to show more of the spirits in the school or other places.

to be honest, the marguerite ending seems more appropriate, she can't just be suddenly jolly and kawaii like after all the events she witnessed, and the things she had to do as well.

It seems you can actually unlock her just by playing on normal difficulty or above and by achieving a Soyoung related ending. I was able to unlock her just by completing the game on normal and getting the Ivy ending. I only needed to find the ten doodles to play her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this version of the story a lot more especially given the female protagonist and where she is coming from. Compared to the male protagonist who didn’t really know what he was getting into, the female one had her own motivations in helping those trapped in the school to be set free. Maybe she felt helpless when the little girl died and wants to help the spirits in the school as a result while also confronting their deaths. She’s obviously scared throughout the entire gameplay but that just makes the story more compelling and watch her keep trying to help these trapped spirits despite her fears. The scene where she smashes the pot and hopes that the spirit has a happier life in the next life? I thought it just showed how despite her childish demeanor, she does display emotional maturity and help both mother and daughter reunite in the afterlife. Personally, I enjoyed the second ending where it was a little bit of the cliffhanger and the way she’s like “you still alive bro?” because she’s not hiding anything anymore and looks like she’s ready for the next chapter and realizes that her job still isn’t done. I’m just loving this story more with the female protagonists POV and motivations and obviously an amazing and compelling character! Good work Mike and looking forward to the next video!
I don't know if this is answered already. Why is it that the teacher who feels guilty about accidently killing a student in a fire is fine with purposely killing another student to bring the other back
From what I understand, he wouldn't have "killed" her since her dying put a wrench in their plans. She needed to be alive for her body to be possessed. However, her soul would have ended up trapped in the school anyway. This explains the ending Superhorrorbro got in his first play through - the ending where mc's crush is trapped in the school while her body is possessed by the ghost chicky (I don't remember any of their names)

Personally I prefer the Jasmine epilogue, it gives a better conclusion to those who were trapped. Instead of them all being trapped, in seems to imply that they were all set free. The happier tone makes a lot of since to me as well since although they faced such terrifying and tragic moments, they managed to complete their goal and bring peace to those who had none.
Well the creator is korean so it looks like he just wanted all words except names to be in English, it would've sounded out of place to use Korean words randomly.

I think I completely misunderstood Ji-Min's endings. I gotten impression she was actually a ghost and her getting the pot was hers and something she needed to cross into the afterlife.
I like the 'poking with the stick' scene, and she looked so disappointed when he woke up, "You're alive." Can't say, "Yep, I poked a dead body with a stick" now, can she?

Ahh the illusive fatal frame series. A game so terrifying none of us ever finished it. I mean I never finished it. I really like the games but I never mustered up the bravery to play them

Years back, I played part 1 at the time you had to go to Blockbuster or Hollywood Video if you wanted to rent out games. So, didn't get to finish before I had to turn it back in. As for part 2, I actually got stuck on a certain part (forgot where) and kept going back and forth between areas. But, I could never figure it out and I didn't have a computer or even owned a cellphone at that time, so I couldn't just look up a walkthrough.😑 But, yeah, it was pretty scary. My brother and I would dare each other to play while the other watched; at night so it would be the darkest time.😆
Idk why but Sung-A's look & attitude in the labyrinth reminds me so much of Anaksunamoon in the mummy. Her gold look for the pharaoh to see if she'd been touched and the attitude reminded me of when she fights Evie with the daggers.

Ji-min IS one of the protagonists. Depending on the route you take, you share with both protagonists. Ji-min is more resourceful and has a longer route though.
The teacher stepping in to save the students and help when he can to fix his mistakes. I know he caused all this by accidentally dropping the fire thing. But he's trying to fix it even after death.

Tbh this game was really amazing, it has a good story and lots of replay value bc of so much endings, secrets, collectables. i dont even think the animation was trash like some think, it was fitting really good with the semi realistic artstyle. I would love to see a video were it explains what the other difficulties do, and or about all endings explained. With the difficulty i mean, i was first trying to play on normal and surprisingly i never found the locker ghost. after i noticed the janitor was just a pain, i switched to easy (not super easy) just to get the story done and then replaying it on normal and hard. For my surprise, i found quickly the locker ghost on easy, but never ever on normal.
I recently started watching White Day content again, but Ji-Min's path is just a more satisfying conclusion to the game. Seong-Ah and her mother being reunited, peacefully going onto the afterlife just feels like a more satisfying conclusion for her than her being dragged down into who knows where. Yeah, Han So-young doesn't get a conclusion like the true canon ending, but Seong-Ah, who was accidently killed and died alone got to find peace.
I just realized that the game is supposed to be Korean, yet the tokens are in Japanese and the writing in the lybrinth are Chinese but it could also be in Japanese too due to their similarities (Though my gut feeling is telling me that it's Chinese because the writing isn't fancy and it's more elegant or it could be a combination of both Chinese and Japanese).
the tokens etc. are chinese characters, yes, but Korean does use those characters too - they're called hanja in Korean and were mostly used before the invention of hangeul (Korean's writing system, which was, in fact, invented because King Sejong wanted to improve literacy and hanja being so complicated was a large barrier to that). These days hanja is mostly only used in select circumstances, but their appearance on tokens and in the labyrinth is entirely correct - it would actually be weirder if that was in hangeul. In modern day, outside of performative or ceremonial use, you'll mostly see them on food stalls denoting small (小), medium (中), and large (大).

It should be noted that Korean is pretty much an in-between culture. He's a linguist who's been living in Japan for several years (and is currently stuck there because their ridiculous outbreak situation is preventing him from coming home...)

And Part 2: "Midnight Swan Song" as we playing BF, GF, Flippy, Flaky, Carol and Cassette-Girl who investigate the outside of the high-school for searching Bella as Petunia, Ji-min, Phineas, Haru and her dog Chaco arrived to help them find Bella until all ghosts appeared when they could see them by the lights as Haru sense them nearby and telling them "The Spirits has captured Bella when she found a black book who belong to Nightmare Moon herself but in reality; Nightmare Moon has a daughter with no memories since Bella became a cardcaptor in her childhood because Nightmare Moon's daughter named Nightigale Eternal who went in Yeondu High School and invoking Malice the darkness back to life. So sit back, relax and dive in the Part 2 of "FD: Labyrinth of The White Day" for the fuss all about.) (0:00)

When Jimin called Heemin upperclasmen in korean ver she called him 선배 (Sunbae) which is like senpai or someone who is older or more superior at school or work. I thought it was 오빠 (Oppa) = older brother (younger girls to older guys) and it can be used to call boyfriend or someone really close to you

This may be a dumb question but if you only meet Ji-min after finding all the doodles then if you don't find those and unlock her, what happens to her in the true ending? Does she get killed by the Janitors? Does she escape the janitor and burns in the fire? Or does the Tree ghost guy get her?
Can we take into the fact that when the janitor finds our dude and Ji-Min, our dude waits for the janitor being to see him before running, probs to make sure the janitor doesn't check the closet.
I kind of love these ending compared what I have seen of the real storyline. The pot at the end is a great twist. I also like playing this main character.
I like the part where Sung A and her mother reunite. But with the Marguerite ending, I can't help but feel like the ghosts are still trapped in the school. which is a sad thing if you ask me. On the other hand, if you complete the normal true ending. I think you free all the souls. But Sung-A and Na-Young get trapped in whatever is going on during the last part. Probably both going to the underworld together. This isn't as nice, cause I did like Sung-A a little while you were playing, and Na-Young is with the person who tried to kill her in the afterlife.
Given the fact that in Marguerite Ending Ji Min reads Na young's name, there is the possibility that her spirit (despite being freed from the school token influence) is still restless and that needs to be confronted. Who knows, maybe they will create a sequel with Ji min and Na young? Because Hee min story ended the moment he gave So Young her diary in the Canon ending...

Technically the word she shoulda used is *Sunbei.* the Korean equivalent to Senpai or upper classman.

Tbh this game was really amazing, it has a good story and lots of replay value bc of so much endings, secrets, collectables. i dont even think the animation was trash like some think, it was fitting really good with the semi realistic artstyle. I would love to see a video were it explains what the other difficulties do, and or about all endings explained. With the difficulty i mean, i was first trying to play on normal and surprisingly i never found the locker ghost. after i noticed the janitor was just a pain, i switched to easy (not super easy) just to get the story done and then replaying it on normal and hard. For my surprise, i found quickly the locker ghost on easy, but never ever on normal.
Why the hell did I decide to watch these kind of video at night!!?
I recently started watching White Day content again, but Ji-Min's path is just a more satisfying conclusion to the game. Seong-Ah and her mother being reunited, peacefully going onto the afterlife just feels like a more satisfying conclusion for her than her being dragged down into who knows where. Yeah, Han So-young doesn't get a conclusion like the true canon ending, but Seong-Ah, who was accidently killed and died alone got to find peace.

I just realized that the game is supposed to be Korean, yet the tokens are in Japanese and the writing in the lybrinth are Chinese but it could also be in Japanese too due to their similarities (Though my gut feeling is telling me that it's Chinese because the writing isn't fancy and it's more elegant or it could be a combination of both Chinese and Japanese).
the tokens etc. are chinese characters, yes, but Korean does use those characters too - they're called hanja in Korean and were mostly used before the invention of hangeul (Korean's writing system, which was, in fact, invented because King Sejong wanted to improve literacy and hanja being so complicated was a large barrier to that). These days hanja is mostly only used in select circumstances, but their appearance on tokens and in the labyrinth is entirely correct - it would actually be weirder if that was in hangeul.
In modern day, outside of performative or ceremonial use, you'll mostly see them on food stalls denoting small (小), medium (中), and large (大).

It should be noted that Korean is pretty much an in-between culture. The ancient Chinese empire traveled through what would become Korean lands to reach Japan, so both Koreas and Japan use Chinese characters and incorporate Chinese beliefs to a degree (i.e. their five elements and their zodiac). Japanese language is more closely tied to Chinese than Korean is due to what Ailsa previously mentioned, although much like Korean, there is more than one way to write in Japanese. Kanji is the type that primarily borrows Chinese characters. There's also katakana, hiragana, and romanji (aka the Latin alphabet).
If my bf were around, he'd be able to go into greater detail about these connections in language and culture. He's a linguist who's been living in Japan for several years (and is currently stuck there because their ridiculous outbreak situation is preventing him from coming home...)

My Favorite character and a arguably better ending
(We're taken look of "Final Destination: Labyrinth of The White Day" since Selena and her friends were searching for Bella in Yeondu High School since she's ran off from her home. But there's two part of the story when the group separated; The Part 1 was Bella who trapped in Yeondu High School as the doorgate was slamed shut while investigate the school about what happened the day before became a Cardcaptor of Magic as she found a black book. And Part 2: "Midnight Swan Song" as we playing BF, GF, Flippy, Flaky, Carol and Cassette-Girl who investigate the outside of the high-school for searching Bella as Petunia, Ji-min, Phineas, Haru and her dog Chaco arrived to help them find Bella until all ghosts appeared when they could see them by the lights as Haru sense them nearby and telling them "The Spirits has captured Bella when she found a black book who belong to Nightmare Moon herself but in reality; Nightmare Moon has a daughter with no memories since Bella became a cardcaptor in her childhood because Nightmare Moon's daughter named Nightigale Eternal who went in Yeondu High School and invoking Malice the darkness back to life. So sit back, relax and dive in the Part 2 of "FD: Labyrinth of The White Day" for the fuss all about.) (0:00)

When Jimin called Heemin upperclasmen in korean ver she called him 선배 (Sunbae) which is like senpai or someone who is older or more superior at school or work. I thought it was 오빠 (Oppa) = older brother (younger girls to older guys) and it can be used to call boyfriend or someone really close to you

This may be a dumb question but if you only meet Ji-min after finding all the doodles then if you don't find those and unlock her, what happens to her in the true ending? Does she get killed by the Janitors? Does she escape the janitor and burns in the fire? Or does the Tree ghost guy get her?
Can we take into the fact that when the janitor finds our dude and Ji-Min, our dude waits for the janitor being to see him before running, probs to make sure the janitor doesn't check the closet.

For a moment at 4:32 she sounded like tommy from the rugrats
I like the part where Sung A and her mother reunite. But with the Marguerite ending, I can't help but feel like the ghosts are still trapped in the school. which is a sad thing if you ask me.
On the other hand, if you complete the normal true ending. I think you free all the souls. But Sung-A and Na-Young get trapped in whatever is going on during the last part. Probably both going to the underworld together.
This isn't as nice, cause I did like Sung-A a little while you were playing, and Na-Young is with the person who tried to kill her in the afterlife.
Given the fact that in Marguerite Ending Ji Min reads Na young's name, there is the possibility that her spirit (despite being freed from the school token influence) is still restless and that needs to be confronted.
Who knows, maybe they will create a sequel with Ji min and Na young?
Because Hee min story ended the moment he gave So Young her diary in the Canon ending...
