I love Stardew and I always loved your Stardew videos, but I was so excited for you and to watch your 100% videos, especially as I have also been getting a lot more interested in 100%-ing games. I felt like it was a really natural shift, and you ending your Stardew era by getting all achievements kind of smoothly transitioned into the new era, and I thought that was super neat! My biggest hope for you when it comes to Stardew is that you can play 1.6 in your own in your own time and enjoy it casually. And my biggest hope for your channel is that you continue making the videos that satisfy you and allow you to thrive. Because honestly, at least from my perspective, those are the best kinds of videos!
(And I definitely agree on rougelikes. I remember thinking one time that you'd probably like Slay the Spire, but even in my initial comment I wasn't even sure how good of a 100% video it would be. You work extremely hard, put in longer shifts than 9-5s and while I’m not the most skilled gamer but like achievements, it’s really fun to see different games and be like ‘okay yeah that game looks cool I could try that’ or ‘god this is fun to watch but I’d hate to play it’ and I’m just excited to be along for the ride. Keep doing what brings you joy and makes you feel good!

So happy for you that you're able to do something entirely different than what you became famous for and it works out great man. I love watching your current videos just cuz I really enjoy watching you, even if it's about a game I wouldn't be that interested in otherwise, keep it up Seanie!

As much as I have loved your Stardew content, which is how I found your channel in the first place, I've also loved your content in pretty much every other game you've posted since I found you. I wish more people would recognize that if you like a person's videos based on watching them play one game, you'll probably like their videos of them doing other games as well - even if they don't necessarily know or have fond feelings for those games yet. I'd never heard of Inscryption before your 100% video, but not only is that one of the best videos I think you've ever done, but I came out of it loving Inscryption myself because you did such a wonderful job of showcasing what was great about it. (Which is basically everything, tbh.)
Of course there's nothing wrong with enjoying videos from a creator about a certain game, but if it's just the game you care about, then it should be easy to move on to someone else doing (in this case) Stardew videos when a creator you follow stops making them. And if it's the creator you like, why not simply follow them through whatever game they're playing to enjoy the same content and personality that you loved with other games? I honestly don't get it, and I'm sorry other people won't leave you alone about That One Game when you've been putting out such great stuff, and such immense effort, that they could enjoy if they were willing to branch out with you.
Just know that plenty of us love the non-Stardew stuff you've been doing, and that most people would prefer to see you passionate and engaged in things you're not totally burnt out on. Even the people begging for more Stardew content would probably not be satisfied if you went back to it, since without the same passion or scope of ideas as you had back in your peak Stardew content days, you wouldn't be able to recapture what made those videos so good. Obviously you know this, and you're trying to explain it to the people who don't get it, but some people will just never have the awareness required to understand. But never let them make you doubt what you know is right just because they can't figure it out. As someone who's experienced burnout, you've absolutely made the right call.
I can't imagine how tiring the slew of "play Stardew!!!" comments on videos that have nothing to do with Stardew must be, or the way those people choose to ignore all the love and work you've put into those videos that they refuse to even engage with beyond complaining about what they AREN'T, but I hope positive comments like this one will help you shrug them off more easily. Because of course, the internet being the internet, you're probably stuck with commenters like that no matter what you do.

Being able to break away from a niche and take your channel in new directions is an almost impossible task and it's seriously something to celebrate.
Without constant updates or just new things to talk about you were bound to be burned out eventually. I'm glad the site didn't break your soul and you've found success doing other things!

This. This comment made me understand the situation and probably even empathise more on the comment.
I just started playing Stardew Valley, like two months in, and I'm so so hooked. Day and night, I'm planning what to do to min-max my gameplay and it's hard to empathise since I've not yet gone to the stage of burnout.
However, seeing your comment made me relate all this with Terraria (heyyo Chippy, hope you're fine and well). I've done almost everything in Terraria and it's just nothing there to do, nothing new to do now. I feel burnt out but I still love Terraria to death.
It's like that one Danny DeVito meme; Oh, my god. I get it.

I love that you're having fun with new games! When you started branching out to "Don't Starve" the commentary was amazing! Big fan, thanks for the great work :)
Fwiw, longform videos like playthroughs are fun for the mutual discovery and the shared familiarity. Similar to watching an old sitcom for the nth time, "hanging out" with a creator is itself a joy, even if it's low key or sometimes silent. Parasocial relationships are probably boring for you, but it's nice to, say, wash dishes next to someone who's just dithering around on a game. That and longform is great when you cant sleep at night. Regardless, really appreciate you and you taking care of yourself, glad you've found your next niche :)

    Dear Seanie,
This is it then. I'm one of the viewers who found you through SDV & who found SDV through you. Even though the shift of your content was obvious, I still didn't accept you leaving. Therefore, I highly appreciate the closure you're providing with this video. I understand and I'm happy for you.
Thank you for all the great content in my stardew journey 💚 & I'm looking forward to the nostalgia, when seeing you in another creators community video in a few years 😉

I've went back and watched your Stardew runs after and saw your humor and still enjoyed them, but I never would have found you if you didn't pivot. As much as I loved your Stardew videos as it's what brought me here way back when you only had 30k on the main channel, I have also gotten burnt out on Stardew after I did perfection in 1.5. So I haven't played much 1.6 either, especially since I've gotten older and even started going to college which has restricted my time. I love the new style of videos, your 100% on slime rancher actually got me to buy the game! And if I ever miss your Stardew content, I know there's a MASSIVE backlog of videos I can go back to.
