I like Wilson on the inside on passing downs. His power translates inside better. He doesn't have any pass moves, only a bull rush. Inside he can callapse the pocket, which the Raiders haven't done in 20 years.

Man I'm so glad to see him start balling......I thought it was a Cle Farrell all over again. Maybe his injury truly was holding him back. Let's see how he finishes the year. It's important. We need him to ball next year. We can't take another Edge in the first round again. Good luck #9

Tyree looked like a different player against the Vikings; he used his hands, had better get off, blew up plays in the running game and passing game. There was a play where he quickly identified pass, was blocked and put his hands up, good reaction time. I love his heart and drive to be great...we can see it in his hustle also.

My coach back in college would have guys who previously played stand up DE play DT with their hands in the dirt. This translates well.
His get off is still concerning and I think it has a lot to do with his previous injury.
Aside from that he needs to learn to use has hands, throw moves and have it compliment his god given size

Sanjit, thanks for the video and breakdown. I do have some push back on the play at 8:12.
Wilson shows good awareness on that play he just has to bring is feet after throwing his face in the hole. Also, Diablo could have stayed more square and squeeze the backside more although he did do a pretty good job given the fact he is an off ball LB.
I think Wilson should work 70-80% of his training this offseason on explosiveness, footwork and technique and he will be night and day next year.

until he gets older and better with his techniques in the NFL it is best to put him at defensive tackle. We know he can drive lineman back like they are children and that’s what we need when Max Crosby and Malcolm Koonce are flying over the edge with Tyree going up the middle there’s no room to step up

Wilson's problem might be balance in his stance If he has too much weight forward on his hands or too much weight back in his hips, it can cause a slow get off The Raiders should use him as the looper in stunts, he has a natural delay so it would be a natural get off, no need to hesitate to let whomever cross in front and then go
How did that new guy do? He got a sack early but never heard or seen him again rest of the game

This goes to prove my point. Players are human beings not robots. It takes time for players to blossom. Some take time others less time . We need to be patient. Getting rid of a player is the easiest thing to do. Often it proves costly. Just a few weeks back many had written off Wilson. Now they're singing praises. Players just like you and me need time to get a hang of it. The same applies to Aidan. He needs rep in the preseason with the top Tier Players. A decision on Aidan should be made halfway through next season. People blame Aidan. What about the O line. Wanted to bolster the O line during the draft and from free agency. Then the offense will showcase it's potential. Replacing Aidan won't. The same applies to AP and the gang.

@Victor-cr5rr he did at first. Their Oline got worked. Tyree might be better at the 3 technique until he gets better at Defensive End spot. Plus I think he is getting past his foot injury. You got to remember the plan was to bring along slowly. The staff said Tyree was very raw but had massive upside. A broken foot takes a while to heal from plus playing D.E. having a injury like that can hamper your get off. Patience is in order not all rookies come flying out the gate. Tyree has quietly gotten 2 sacks and is becoming a disruptor. He can bull rush but it also takes technique at the NFL level something he will learn. Maxx Crosby can bull rush but he also has a ton of repertoire moves also. I'm willing to bet Tyree will take off next season when fully healthy and gains this valuable experience.

People who played football in college understand this! With a foot injury he wasnt doing squats, leg presses or cardio until his foot was cleared! The fact that he has done what he has so far shows that he is a stud! Most of you idiots think its like a video game where a player returns from injury with his full 89 speed grade! 😂😂😂 Cleared doesnt mean 100%! Id say the same goes for Jimmy G!
