hello Inbal Segev, I have been following your work for a long time and I try to learn as much as possible watching your classes, although the language barrier is huge (I used Google translator) lol, the language of the instrument is one ... I learned to play prelude by Your cause, half of the video views are my kkkk ... I would like to have a contact with you, an email for example would be very good, if you want you can call me to suck a little more knowledge ... more kisses from Brazil! !! (email joelsvaz1@gmail.com)
I know it’s unconventional, but I like to play gavotte 2 at top speed, with long slurs and piano, like a fast wind flying by. For me the climax is the downward arpeggio to low C, I crescendo as it descends then dim as the line comes back up.
I this movement, the arpeggiated phrase around low C sounds like sweep picking of distorted electric guitar. Actually, Metal guitarists sometimes refer this gavotte 2 they may find a relevance between Metal music!
Great video as always Mrs Segev! I would like to know what equipment do you use to record the sound of the cello, is that the camera microphone only or you have a dedicated mic to capture it? I want to record my practice sessions, but the smartphone mic don't have such a good quality sound :/ Thanks for your videos, hope you keep making them! Cheers!
Hi Lucas, thanks for watching and writing. I use a DPA cello mic, which is really the best in my opinion. My videographer also uses a separate mic to capture my voice. Hope that helps(-:
Cool! I have trouble with the double stops with my pinky
Brilliant ! Thank You !
Ótimo trabalho... abraços do Brasil

You should do a masterclass with the Arpaggione Sonata by Schubert
This is the most difficult thing I’ve ever studied, it has a LOT of tiny details.
I play this without tuning the A string down
