Stunning. Dindo's playing transcends what I had long considered what already was the highest level of artistry and technical mastery possible on the cello-something that represented the attainment of the pinnacle. I was wrong, at least about the extraordinary playing shared on these videos by a man whom I consider to be the greatest cellist in the world today. My greats of the past-Tortelier, Starker, Rostropovich, Fournier, Gendron, Cassado, et al-rather than feeling usurped, surely, are looking down and smiling, knowing that the pathway they had built had not reached the end of the line , but rather, cleared the way for others (of the necessary talents and commitment) to continue the journey. With that, Dindo has taken the cello to altogether new heights, a mind-numbing achievement for which there seem to be no adequate words.
Thank you Mr. Dindo! I am busy now with the complete Bach Suites, going to record them in October! I was a little lost in this Suite, but you INSPIRE me! Thank you for this wonderful interpretation! For me you and Truls Mork are my favourites!
There are as many ways to play the Suites as there are players capable of executing them; but I often refer to these performances as being as close to the way I do them myself (violist) as I've found anywhere. Bravo Signor Dindo!
Suite 5 is normally my least favorite of Bach's suites (Except I love this suite's courante) But listening to this interpretation of it was so amazing!
I appreciate the fact that he uses little or no vibrato. In the baroque period vibrato was a form of ornamentation. If you listen to a proper baroque chamber orchestra, they use vibrato sparingly. I just discovered this guy and I adore his playing. Mind you, I love Yo Yo Ma and Mischa Maesky but I think this guy sounds better.
My favorite suite, especially when played with the scordatura. Have you tried any of embellishments of the Sarabande, such as the one by Simon Rowland-Jones?
enrico dindo Enrico, do you know of anywhere (apart from iTunes) where I can buy a downloadable version of your complete Bach suites. As I am in U.K., iTunes doesn't allow me to buy it from the Italian store 😪...and the CDs are unavailable in Amazon UK !. ....Kind regards, Ray

Antony Cooke, thank you, you are so kind. I'm happy you like. All the best. Ciao
Giorgio Lamborghini grazie 🙏🏼
The most beautiful playing g of this piece I have ever heard💗🔥👏🙏
The prelude is strange, haunting, and beautiful. Your playing sounds very.... rock 'n roll !
Each phrase is perfectly pronounced. Amazing performance!
OMG! I must say as a cello student, I just listened the prelude, and it was breathtaking!!!!!!! Bravo signore Dindo

Enrico Dindo Thank you! I will enjoy....once it is done 😅
Such meditative yet thorough artistry.
Meraviglioso...Senza parole

Enrico Dindo GRANDE interprete.
As a viol player, I like your interpretation and bowing
Davvero bravo, complimenti.
On my lunch break at work, and I only have time to listen to the Prelude right now, but man, it was FABULOUS!
Tnx Seán 😉
@@enricodindoYT You're welcome, Enrico; thank you so much. I look forward to listening to the rest of the suite when I have the chance.
marvelous. great tone and phrasing and very intense playing
Enrico Dindo, the best!!!

For this suite the top string, normally pitched at A3, is lowered a whole step to G3.
This is mi favorite interpretation.

Divine. 😍

Fantastic!
Tanta roba...
Awesome playing. I love your sound. Such a physically relaxed approach.
Tnx Michael, ciao
😍😍
Good!!
What model of cello is this enrico ? Love the timbre
Pietro Giacomo Rogeri, Brescia 1717
enrico dindo I'm just luxuriating in your Bach 5 on RUclips. Thanks so much. You have a very honest face!
Thanks. 😉

amateur phrasing
Such dismissive indifference reveals how very little you know.
Post your recording and let the rest of us decide about your phrasing.

Who elected you God?
