A sound student in a film school decides to go to a direction class to which he got quick montage assignment. Will he be able to complete it? Why did he go to the direction class anyway?
“Sound Montage” - Sound montage, theorized with the arrival of recorded synchronized sound in films, was the first theory of sound, as well as image, and sometimes explicitly derives ideas and inspiration from music-based theory. Its most influential theorist was Sergei Eisenstein, who also tested and experimented with his ideas in feature films.
This Short Film is made as a part of “Montage Exercise” in the direction class by Sagar Subhankar in Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata.
