    You answered my question about alcohol. Thank you. I recently switched to plant base. First week had meet a few times and cheese once. Thought I could do one meet meal a week with the boyfriend. But was instantly hooked thanx to listening to so many podcasts of physicians committee. So I'm totally plant base. Incorporated exercise in my fourth week. And today making the decision to cut out my beer I chose plant base because I felt like I was at deaths door pretty quick with my mental health. My boyfriend had put on game changers and that was it. It was what I was looking for. I feel immensely 🙌 blessed

    Hi Dr. Funk, two questions if I may:
    - what is the connection between high cholesterol and BC? In high cholesterol patients can statins reduce risk of recurrence?
    - Are there any supplements we can take to prevent recurrence?
    Thank you!

    Here is a question that you did not ask. Does breast massage help deter breast cancer? I would think so to get t lymphatic system moving and cleaning itself.

      Don't eat them in excess. Cook them and add iodized salt or seaweed. 🙂

      Can have some cooked but add uncooked to recipe at end. Cooking destroys the healthy nutrients.

      Chop up onions and garlic 10 minutes before cooking them, it helps protect the beneficial properties, do the same for broccoli and cauliflower, just let those rest not 10 but 30-40 mins.

    Please HELP!!! I'm 72 years old with neuroendoccrine breast carcinoma 3.1cm stage 2 poorly differentiated. I'm aware its a very agressive cancer. I had lumpectomy and my surgeon confirms that lymphs nodes were negative er+ pr+ her2- . All tissue around cancer margins very good. I saw two oncologists, one for radiation and the other for chemo. They don't know if I will benefit from chemo but I will have radiaton and hormones therapy. What kind of treatment do you think I should have and are prognostic for this kind of cancer if I take chemo good??? I'm in a good health but I want to have quality of life too and if treatment won't help to live longer then I would refuse chemo treatment. COULD IT BE A PRIMARY CANCER IF THEY DON'T SEE ANYTHING ON SCANS like nuclear bone, ct scan for abdo chest and brain???

    How does a person with diabetes eat a plant based diet with all the beans/ lentils needed for protein?

    • @lf7065
      @lf7065 9 месяцев назад

      You don't need a huge amount. Just one cup of cooked lentils is super high in protein! Also, make sure you go for a walk (or otherwise move) after your meals to help lower blood sugars.

      Oh, and tofu/soybeans are not high in carbs, yet quite high in protein. 🙂

    Which is better, flaxseed vs chia seeds???

    • @suzannesayers5237

      That's wrong. It's the opposite. Flaxseed is a phytoestrogen and helps to prevent disease including BC.
