    It’s great to hear Dr. Funk so clearly detail why soy is helpful, not harmful for breast cancer risk reduction! Unfortunately I have heard ill informed MD’s wrongly state the opposite.

    So disappointed that they do not include eggs! I know someone who was treated for breast cancer went wfpb but now is eating eggs every day. I believe that is bad but it doesn't help me to share this if they don't mention eggs!

      Eggs aren't plants so it isn't part of whole food plant based eating.

      Dr Funk has a beautiful podcast on this topic. Chef AJ is the host possibly in the “live” video. Also Dr Pitter an oncologist also has a recent live on the topic.
      Basically plant based….animal products, especially chicken and cheese are very problematic for us. Both explain why and how. ❤

    "alcohol" is a very broad grouping. a glass of wine is a lot different than a glass of whiskey, for example. plus, a lot of alcohol is not vegan. are the studies differentiating between different types of alcohol, and vegan alcohol versus alcohol that contains animal ingredients?

    • @wallyrbc
      @wallyrbc 3 года назад +1

      I’m hoping one is better off with a 5 ounce glass of wine over whiskey!
      But I know this is wishful thinking.

      Alcohol is unhealthy not because it may not be vegan, but because it contains other toxic components. Alcohol in any form is really bad for the gut microbiome. Just think, alcohol is used as a disinfectant because it kills bacteria, that’s not good for your gut flora (vegan or not).
