    Why does my blue stencil have no sticky mess to it? Am I washing out to long?

      The blue stencils are meant for glass, ceramic, chalkboards, and other smooth surfaces. It's a very light adhesive that does not feel sticky to the touch. There are some tips for increasing the adhesive on the back of the Quick Start Guide.

    Why do my stencils never harden to the point of not sticking to one another? I post expose and it still doesn't harden.

    Good video, but in nearly all of the Ikonart videos, no one talks about the carrier sheet. I have successfully done my printing, exposed properly, etc., but I leave the carrier sheet ON while washing out. The stencil looks good However, is the carrier sheet supposed to be removed for the post exposure? Doesn't all of the emulsion stick to the carrier sheet? That is the one piece that is confusing to me. I don't know if I am supposed to dry it with the carrier sheet? Do I dry and post expose with the carrier sheet? Thank you, I am enjoying my kit. I am having a challenge printing onto glass, but I feel that might not be the fault of the stencil, not sure.

      Yes, leave the carrier sheet on when drying and post-exposing. You don’t take off the clear carrier sheet until you go to use the stencil.

    I have a rather specific question. I have purchased a few svgs and when I download them they show with a Microsoft Edge icon. They upload into my Vector workspace fine and look like a vector image, but when I click to make sure they are 100% black, the only option I have is opacity. Am I doing something wrong, or can I change something in Vectr?

      Try ungrouping first, then select the individual pieces to change the color

    Hello. Great tips! My question: is it possible to use this kind stencils on plastic round surfaces?

    • @ikonartstencil
      @ikonartstencil  11 месяцев назад

      The stencils can be used on almost any surface, it’s more about finding an ink/paint that will suit your needs. You may need to seal it if you’re using on plastic. I haven’t found anything that is 100% permanent.

    Great info. Is there any chance that in the future, the film could be white or clear instead of blue? It would help for cookies. Thanks!

    I noticed that used a screen for washing out rather than the board.
    Is there a difference?

      @ikonartstencil  11 месяцев назад +1

      I have a teeny tiny sink, so the screen allows the overspray to go into the sink rather than bounce back at me 👍🏼

    What dryer did you use in this?

    • @ikonartstencil
      @ikonartstencil  Год назад

      We use a commercial film dryer, but you can use a food dehydrator, a fan, or just let them air dry.
