That is exactly what Deer Valley wanted with Hoodoo and Galena, but what is interesting is Neptune (another new lift not opening this winter but next) isn’t next to any D-Line yet it has the D-Line skins so maybe deer valley wants all-new standard Doppelmayr lifts have D-Line skins
@@skiliftguy4181 It's rare that ski areas do this sort of customization. Only other place I've seen this is Jackson Hole, where the UNI-G bottom terminal on the Sweetwater Gondola is designed to resemble the Poma Challenger terminals of the adjacent Teewinot high speed quad and Bridger Gondola.
Thanks so much for the video! 1st HSS at Deer Valley, right? I wonder Deer Valley didn't go with a direct drive with this lift. I'm pretty sure they could afford it. The drive Sounds kinda like the old Challenger HSQ at Sun Valley.
@@michaellebow there is unfortunately some construction barriers you’ll have to get around to the right of the Keetley chair, where the temporary maze and gates are set up. There will be signage detailing you where to go.
@DeltaChairlifts5 that’s the Galena Express. It’s very unlikely according to Liftblog that it’ll open this season despite most of the front-facing runs going to that lift. Galena will however, 100% open next season. You’ll see the bottom station as you take McHenry with the chairs laying near the bottom waiting to be hung on the line
@@skiliftguy4181 For this season, the runs on what will be Galena's pod can be lapped by skiing all the way down to Aurora and riding that up, then skiing down to Keetley. Not exactly the most ideal way to ski these runs, but at least that's only for the first season.
Probably because it hasn’t even opened them yet. The middle liftline might be skiable just it is so rocky. Deer Valley will really expand next winter by almost 3,000 acres and this winter is only a 300 acre expansion
Wow they went all out with the green even the TT10's are green instead of the usual technoalpin yellow
Gorgeous lift wow
It's interesting how the UNI-G's have the D-Line terminal skins as well. My guess is they want them to match with Keetley Express.

What's it like getting to the Keetley lift from the hotel during construction?

what lift is that at the top of this one?

Terrain looks unremarkable like the rest of deer valley
