I think we need to change the way we produce and distribute wealth. We need the power to establish social ownership and democratic control over the wealth we collectively produce. Once our power is established, we need to democratically decide to distribute the wealth we produce on the basis of need, not sale to the highest bidder in the marketplace of commodities. We cannot continue to commodify the wealth we produce. We must produce it for our own, common use. With this power in hand, we can stop producing greenhouse gas for sale, as we are allowing it to be produced and sold now. We are experiencing a #climateemergency. As Greta Thunberg says, "We need system change." But, we cannot have system change without individuals like you changing the system. I think we need to change the way we produce and distribute wealth. We need the power to establish social ownership and democratic control over the wealth we collectively produce. Once our power is established, we need to democratically decide to distribute the wealth we produce on the basis of need, not sale to the highest bidder in the marketplace of commodities. We cannot continue to commodify the wealth we produce. We must produce it for our own, common use. With this power in hand, we can stop producing greenhouse gas for sale, as we are allowing it to be produced and sold now. We can truly begin to live in harmony with the Earth as our tribal ancestors did before private property and class rule began to take shape thus, shaping our way of living together. The consequences of not implementing "system change" are unfolding now, with various extreme weather events around the world. Greta is the canary in the coal mine. Listen to her.

Many countries with a huge CO2 problem can not speak english.
There already is auto generated subtitles in English, I will probably write and send in better ones in English and also some in Swedish. I don't know if she will add them, but it's worth a try, so if you know any other language I would recommend you to do so as well. :D
Here in Russia, Greta is considered some kind of silly girl, but I listen to her speak English and think: before judging her, these critics should at least graduate from school without any Cs.

Finally Greta speaks the correct message, and you are heroic for doing so. However this message will not make you very popular in the msm, as it is utterly antithetical to the dominant global culture of capitalist consumerism. We have all been indoctrinated to believe that consumer choice IS freedom, and anyone who tells us that we cannot have whatever we want irrespective of the consequences to the environment is a "Communist" or an "Eco-fascist". This is the culture that must be overcome, I don't know if it can be done in time but at least you have the courage of your convictions to walk the walk and talk the talk. I hope that you will inspire millions of the privileged 10% to take up the personal goal of becoming negative carbon emitters, as apposed to waiting around for the government to somehow magically make our capitalist consumer society carbon negative, in the vein hope that we don't have to change our personal lifestyle.

You HAVE a "brilliant mind," Greta! There is one part of your speech that is too kind, however. Given what climate scientists have been reporting for years now, I suspect that many, likely most, in the audience are NOT "uninformed." They know damn well the havoc their huge carbon footprint is wreaking and… just… don't… care. They choose short-time profits over people or planet, and deserve to be SHAMED.
