    Glad you got out with the old fella.
    Most underrated fish in the ocean.
    Great on the chew and fighting tactics. 👍👍

      Cheers mate, yep was a great day to spend with the old fella. And bloody oath one of the most under appreciated fish around 🤙🏼

    Love it mate. Thanks fro another awesome video. On that sand thing - I use plain sand for berley if I'm worried the current might take burley and fish away. It seems to work pretty well. I reckon the sight of stirred up sand in the water grabs the ludericks' attention. Also sometimes I use straight sand if I don't have enough spare bait to mix up a traditional burley.

      Cheers mate. I reckon I’ll have to give the plain sand a trial run cos there’s a few people who’ve told me that now. Certainly would make it easy when the string weed is hard to find

    Looked like a good session Louis
    How good was that mixed school of fish, even better watching them all.
    The Dolphin was nuts, great footage, well done. You would've thought with all the commotion it was creating it would of shut those fish down. Obviously not
    Good rod / reel setup for the boat.
    We've been getting onto the Snapper lately outside, out of Bar, Merewether
    Cheers from Newy
    I've changed my profile name to reflect the rod business
    Stevo

      Cheers Stevo, yeah surprised the hell out of me how many big bream were mixed in with them. And yeah that dolphin only wanted to pick off a couple and then bugger off which was perfect.
      Good to hear about the snapper, we’ve been having the odd decent session on them down here as well. I bought the camera I used for float cam for doing some deep dropping for flathead so hopefully get some cool footage that way as well as over the reef for snapper.
      I think I’ll have to send a rod up to you sooner or later mate. I have 2 powergraph 5156’s and have always wanted to have one chopped down to around 11ft and rewrapped to use on drummer with the alvey

      Look forward to seeing that footage if you can get it, sounds like your on a mission.
      I'd be happy to build you a rod if we can work it somehow
      🙏

    Another great video on Luderick 👌. Good sized school and fish, too. As im new to fishing for these fish, I've just a question about where to tye the half hitch. Does it go above the eye of the hook (around line and weed) or below the eye of the hook (around shank and weed) chers and thank you?.

      @anglinguntangled  14 дней назад

      Cheers mate, was a pretty red hot session. Don’t get many days where they are that schooled up.
      Half hitch is only around the bait never around the hook. Can create a weak point if around the hook shank

    Hi I live in eden. Where can I find the weed around Merimbula Eden to use for luderick. ? Only ever caught them on nippers. Thanks

    • @anglinguntangled
      @anglinguntangled  Месяц назад

      There’s a bit of a culture with luderick fisherman that they’re pretty secretive about where they get they’re green weed from and unfortunately I’ve got to be the same just because it’s been hard for me to track down lately and the one spot I have is in short supply. But your best bet for finding the stringy stuff is in a protected creeks/drains/estuary edges with salt or better yet brackish water. Some spots to check might spring to mind or it can be worth jumping on google earth to look at bridge crossings over small feeder creeks into salt water. Sea cabbage is heaps easier to find and sometimes they’ll chew it just as readily as the green weed and they prefer it when fishing off the rocks. I’d check out my “harbour luderick tactics” vid to see where to start looking for it 🤙🏼
